I have not posted since 8-4 and it is because I've been ashamed, as I have been drinking every other day. Today is DAY 1 of a 30 day commintment to be AF. I have not had a plan. My plan is - CD's and supps are on their way, reading the book every day, increasing water intake and always with lemon. Drink of choice, tonic and lime. To start walking every day - even a short distance. I belong to a health club and haven't gone for 5 months but am going to set of a goal of 2 times this week and increase to 3 the next. Decreasing sugar in my diet. Taking supps faithfully. When the thoughts of alcohol pop in my head I am going to repeat the follwoing: I do not want to die-I am going to repeat my kids & grankids names, say the Serenity Prayer and say I can be AF, I will be AF & I want to be AF. I am also making a dr appt tomorrow, as I need my blood levels checked. I want to discuss alcohol meds with him but not sure I can.
I know not coming here every day was a mistake. I not the only one who has slipped. That's why we are all here - to lean on each other when our feet start to slip out from under us. I sincerely appreciate the feedback from everyone here. I have 3 close friends but this isn't something I share with them. If we go out socially, no one drinks. I drink at home - by myself.
What is the online pharmacy that is reputable? River Pharmacy? I have thought of antibuse but want to research interactions with other meds I take for BP, cholestral, etc.
I positively cannot take being sick to my stomach , I do not vomit easily (sorry to mention that) so when I get nauseated - it stays there - I would rather have physical pain (to a point). I am truly hoping a regular regimine of the supplements will help.
Thank you to everyone for your support.
Liz
I can be AF, I will be AF and I WANT to be AF.

OK Liz, GREAT! Now you are really on board! You are absolutely correct, you have to have both the desire (commitment, determination, persistence) AND a plan... and you are also right, sticking around this site and reading and posting are a key part to a good plan in this program.
I think River Pharmacy is reputable, they sent me Topa, it took about 2 weeks. If you need antabuse, and it doesn't interfere with your other meds, then by all means I would say do so, do WHATEVER it takes to get free, get your mind/brain/body fully detoxed so you can start to see clearly what your long-term (forever) plan will be to deal with alcohol...
Good for you!
