    ODAT - Thursday

    Good Morning All ODAT ers'.
Geez, I will have to read the rest of yesterday's thread; seems like I missed some good stuff.lol. I left off with the Manopause comment. lol. So sorry about the chicks, almost made me cry. Rip, hope your interview went well. I will be preparing for mine very soon. I had to check in here first. My sobriety is my #1 priority, and checking in here is a Huge part of that. Thank you all for the well wishes. I am finally sleeping better. Guess the Melatonin is finally kicking in, or I have gotten over the Ativan. Doesn't matter, but for those still struggling, it will get better. Thanks to Cindi for advising me to double my dose. I had my first "drinking" dream last night, and for the first time EVER in a drinking dream; I did not drink. I was in a store, looking at the beer case. It all seemed so real. I said to myself in the dream, "I have 27 days. I at least have to make it to 30". It was so hard, but I walked away. Very interesting. Every other drinking dream I had years ago, I caved. Maybe speaks to the power of this program. I hope all of you have a Great Day. Oh, yeah, Rip, about the concert: That would be very difficult for me. I need to stay out of "slippery" places right now. I have been to a few concerts AF, but those that were with me did not drink either. For me, it would not be worth it, especially if I didn't care for the band. Give your SO some Midol, will ya?lol-Much love to all.

      ODAT - Thursday

Good Morning from the East! Last night I moderated (one glass) and looked forward to a wonderful sleep and day today, however the liitle one got a bad stomach bug and I was up until 5:30 this morning feeding her little ice chips and cleaning up baby barf. Today I am doing mountains of stinky laundry. She is napping now (she is 17 months) which is good - she needed it. So do I! I have a terrible hangover feeling, BUT I'M NOT HUNGOVER! Eeek! I am hoping this is a 24 hour thing...I am no good with no sleep!

Anyway, hope everyone has a wonderful day and keep the spirits up

Day 2 AL Free. Today will be day 3. Have a bit of a stomache ache probably anxiety. I haven't gone 3 days in years.
Glad to hear Dazed and Confoosed is feeling better. If you haven't, you should go to his thread (New Guy) and read his first post and then read his last. Night and Day...poor guy went through hell. Anyone hear from Lil Michelle? She had it rough the other day. I've been wondering how she is.

Question- If I download MWO can I read it on my computer or do I have to print it b/c I'm out of ink?? Thanks.
I know this is probably one of my dumb ass questions-- similar to asking the fine folks on chat if they were real...embarrassing! LOL

                Hi aclassicgirl
                Nice name by the way!
Yes you can read the book off your PC if you download it so no you don't have to print it out. It might be easier to read though printed off but once you have it saved you can always print it off later when you do have ink.
                Best Wishes,
                :h

                        ODAT - Thursday

                        Hi fellow ODATS!

Oh Cowgal, how could our ESTEEMED postal service somehow miss that the package being shipped contained live animals?!? Anymore, you have to declare if any package is liquid, perishable or potentially hazardous. Honestly, is it rocket science to ship chicks??? Rotten eggs to the post office.

One2Many - I howled at your post! When I first read it, I thought you meant all your Irish terms were Irish for "Bessie." And I kept thinking, how many ways can you say Bessie in Celtic? Then, the thunderbolt struck and I realized you were saying them for her benefit! I am really thick in the head sometimes. Must be all the tonic with lime.

Bessie, perfectly said. I love that we can all check in. As for Vera-land, all is well. Went out with friends tonight who also happen to be co-workers. They're not into the drinking thing, so it was no big deal to order club soda and lime. The interesting thing for me was to observe how non and very light drinkers (nobody drank tonight) deal with the issue. No surprise - they don't. It just never occured to them to drink anything other than water, with a cup of coffee for dessert. They were into the conversation, the company, and what to order for dessert. No agony. I want to be like them. I WILL be like them. And so will all of you - ONE DAY AT A TIME!!

Here's to sweet dreams and a great Friday,

                        V.

                          ODAT - Thursday

                          Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the invite Bessie. I am on day AF for about the 1000th time. I haven't come on here for a long time. This week I had a wake up call when a friends husband died suddenly, he was 49. They think he had a heart attack or stroke. This makes you stop and think about your health and what would your children do without you. They have 2 children.
I am glad to be back reading posts. This always makes me feel good.

                          Thanks again.
