      Where in the world are you?

      Nice thread, AKgirl! I am smack in the middle of the USA (no cattle in my back yard, but certainly squirrels and chipmunks), and accordingly, I long for more exotic climes! Here it is flat land, no ocean, no mountains, and the people tend to be.... well... bland. I grew up in the Southern USA where there is a bit more tolerance for eccentricity, and I frankly miss it...

      Some day I will retire and maybe be able to travel, I LOVE to travel, perhaps I will arrive on all of your doorsteps one day!

          Where in the world are you?

          I'm in Eastern Connecticut, close by both Casinos and a couple universities, a couple more weeks till the kids and traffic come back. Born and raised in CT but spent summers in RI by the shore, miss that beach life!!! We have lots of turkeys in our back yard, and woodchucks! Hate the winters here, has been a humid summer so far with lots of Florida weather (t-storms almost every afternoon as of late.) I like that idea of the map, i think is cool!!!

                  What a great thread!
                  I currently live in Denver, Co. 300 days of sunshine per year! I can see the beautiful Rocky Mountains from my front window! Denver is a cosmopolitin city, yet, in many ways it is still a small town. We have mild winters in the city and if we want more snow we can be at a ski resort in 45 minutes!

                    Kate, are you ready for the invasion of the Democrat Party??? I'm in the Boston area about 10 minutes from the ocean. Love the history, don't care what the weather is like (the saying here is if you don't like it, just wait a day and it'll change!).

                      Vera, Yes I am excited about it! Oprah is renting a house for the week just a couple of blocks from me! Hope we see some of the people coming to our neighborhood!

                      I love Boston! Love the Ocean, I have family on Cape Cod......I keep sending the Universere messages that I can have a cottage on the Cape!

                              Beautiful Big Sky Montana. Deer are everywhere here, (especially at night when you're driving!!!). I also live 45 min from a ski-resort. I love it here.
