I received my started kit about a week ago and it has been sitting on my table. I guess I will start taking it today and see if this really helps. So here I go!

Good for you Izzi! I started tosay "Good luck", but it takes more than luck. It takes a lot of determination. Muster the strength to say I WILL start taking this today and it WILL work instead of "I guess" and "will see". I WILL NOT DRINK TODAY!

I do wish you luck. The struggle with alcohol is not a fun place to be.

Greeneyes is exactly right, the determination and strength of mind is vitally important... you will see, for yourself, of course! But since this is day 1 for you, if you REALLY want to be free of alcohol, I'd suggest that you make an extra effort to keep your mind focused on WHY you want to do this, and WHAT kind of life you want to have, and HOW you will make the changes that need to be made, every day, especially around the people, places, and things that will tend to trigger, for you, the desire to drink.
