    Hi there....I'm a Newbie

    Hi there.

I am new here, just fell upon this website and read and was impressed. How is everyone doing? Does anyone have any suggestions for a Newbie?

I am on Day 1 for the I can't even tell you how many'th time! Recently I stopped for 3 weeks and then foolishly went back after thinking I can handle myself.

I just wanted to introduce myself.

    Welcome Christy!
I would start by reading the book here on the website if you haven't done so.
You will find a lot of support here!

          Hi there....I'm a Newbie

          Welcome Christy,

You just took the first step of the journey, and it's uphill from here! Ditto the advice to read the book and use every aspect of the program you feel comfortable with. Many are tools (like the cd's) that you can revisit down the road when the temptation seems too strong or life just throws you a curve. We've all tried to control the demon AL more than we care to admit, so you're with folks who understand the challenges you face. Welcome. Read the book, read the posts and come here often. The water's so fine. . .

                Hi there....I'm a Newbie

Hi! Very Strong Lemon Water! I know it sounds crazy, but it can help. I like Santa Cruz lemon juice its organic and nothing added put alot like a whole shot at least in fresh water with ice......good luck and welcome

                    Welcome Christy,
I don't think any of us find this site by accident. I hope you find it "the turning point" that I did. We look forward to having you in our family. Once you read the book you will know more about the entire program. I look forward to your future posts. kriger Day 8 AF

                      Hi there....I'm a Newbie

:colorwelcome: Christy!! Just wanted to say hello and add another voice to the mix recommending the My Way Out Book. It was very beneficial to me to get a solid baseline understanding of the My Way Out Program. It's not magic (unfortunately) BUT.. the tools and support here are really good, and if you are determined to stop the madness, you can and you will.

After being a daily drinker most of my adult life (30+ years) I am on Day 83 Alcohol Free. If I can, you can.

Best wishes and hope to see you around the forum.

                            Hi there....I'm a Newbie

                            Hi Christy,
I'm also on Day 1 (again). I have achieved great success since coming here, but I am still learning. I thought I would be one who could moderate after 2.5 months AF, and I did moderate successfully for a couple of months, but then I began increasing. So it's back to Day 1 for me.
My life is better without alcohol, since 9/1/12. My sobriety tool is the list at permalink 236 on the toolbox thread under monthly abstinance.
