YAY for the MY WAY OUT TEAM!!!!!

    Zeppie -

Welcome - Congrats on Day 3 and yes, you will come across lots of things neglected. No worries, plenty of AF time to get things right.

Watching your triggers is indeed key. Also recognizing you will have down times and simply need to get through them....not allow them to get you.

    Keep posting!

Happy to be AF Since 9.13.08

YAY for the MY WAY OUT TEAM!!!!!

Hi, checking in with you all, and telling you, Z, that you are not alone! It's day 9 for me and I am shocked that I've made it this far. I felt HORRIBLE the first five days. Now, the physical problems are done. I think it's important for me, and for the rest of you here, to remind yourself over and over to congratulate yourself over and over. Rejoice in the moments, notice the little things. I looked out the window now, saw the twinkling lights of the traffic and thought "they are beautiful and I am enjoying this beauty - sober!" Rejoice! Also, I notice glimmers every once in a while within myself of feelings that I haven't felt for so long, like distant memories of holidays, that sort of thing. Good to be cognizant of all the positive differences now vs. drunken before.

I really enjoy your posts and your personalities that shine through, all. I love your pics too!
