    Great thread akgirl,

    51 years old(ouch,that hurt!!!)
    married 25 years
    3 sons 21/18/16years old
    2dogs (corgis)
    2cats
    worked 20 years for an intl. airline but not working now
    love sports and am a gym rat (although I don't know why because......)
    I love the wine and do suffer from it which is a shame because...
    I've been a (re) newbie here for two years
    I,too, love this place and will get a grip

      Who are you people?

      me: 56 years old
      not married anymore but with a great man for 21 years.
      2 daughters age 27 and 31. No grand kids yet.
      2 great cats
      retired almost 2 years.
      love gardening and making jewelry and reading history. I volunteer 3 days a week and
      am loving life! (except when AL visits!) ....it's a struggle for me.
      Thanks AKGIRL for starting this. It's great to know a little bit about the people on this wonderful site.

        Only drink wine... and lots of it
        Love to cook and bake..

          2 awesome sons 5 and 7
          Awesome husband (even though at times I want to kill him
          Live in Ohio
          Work in TV
          Those are the stats...but very deep and choose my friends carefully
          Love music to no end....and have lived out most of my childhood dreams and then some

          Lucky, on that count....guess God just wanted to give me an issue to deal with...thanks. But I love knowing it is one I can be in control off.....because the rest of my life is out of my control

            Who are you people?

            39 yrs old
            Absolutely love cooking, experimenting with new food combinations, cooking shows. I love home decorating, entertaining, travelling to new places and meeting new people.
            I have 3 kids (two in college) ages 21, 18 and 10. (yes, I started young)
            I'm married to a wonderful, supportive husband and just celebrated our 13th anniversary. (Was married once before way too young).
            I love running, biking, the ocean, running at the ocean and sitting outside with a glass of wine and watching the sunset. Thankfully, wine is substituted much more with AF beverages!

              54 yo, married 27 years to a great though imperfect guy (he would say the same)
              no kids, just a dog
              gardening is a passion
              I sing weekly with a couple choral groups
              long bike rides in summer - often 2 hrs
              working full time
              My life is better without alcohol, since 9/1/12. My sobriety tool is the list at permalink 236 on the toolbox thread under monthly abstinance.

                Wife - Saint for a husband
                Teacher - of crazy 14 year olds - they're all crazy at that age - maybe that's why I love AL?

                  Married 18 Years. Hubby likes to tell me he's been with me over half my life. No shit, like I could forget. Sometimes I am so sick, sick, sick of being married I could SCREAM. But I digress....that's another thread...

                  I have an online store that is starting to take off, which is wonderful after many years as stay home mom and having to "ask " for money and being reminded that I wouldn't have what I do if it weren't for him. Damn, there I go again! Would someone start that thread already??? :upset:

                    Who are you people?

                    55, married 35 years to my long suffering hubby. Two daughters, 1 son, 3 granddaughters, new daughter-in-law. Love art, cooking, decorating. Before AL, I was a dynamo, into stained glass, painting, mosaics, sewing, crocheting, quilting. I've done it all. I just lost two of my babies, Jenny, my 13-year old chihuahua on July 3, cancer; and my big, beautiful, Brodie, my 2-yr old pit bull decided his Dad was not coming home fast enough from their nightly 3.5 mile walk, somehow got away from my husband and was killed instantly by a motorist. Now, I have two new babies (I didn't want two, but it was a 2 for the price of 1 deal). 6 week old pit bulls, 1 female and 1 male. It's a little like having infants on steroids, but you can't put diapers on them!! It's all puppies, all the time. I love it!!! Although I will probably be bitching as soon as they become dogs, rather than babies. I also have a 19 year old cat, still going strong and a tiny chihuahua who will be 10 in October. It will be interesting to see her become the alpha dog with the pups. She better do it soon, they are already bigger than she is. I love to feed the birds and the fish in my garden pond. Life is definitely getting better. Kay

                      Irish but live in NZ (the most beautiful country on earth)
                      another long suffering husband of 20 years - god only knows why he puts up with me
                      3 kids - 29 yrs (yes started young - way too young) 16 and 14. Boy girl boy.... and one granddaughter but she doesnt know I am her "G" word (can't bring myself to say it) so she just calls me boozehag!
                      Work from home writing tax opinions (trying to save people from IRS)
                      one dog savvy (sauvignon blanc) who unlike all of the above loves me unconditionally....
                      Walk the beach every day and swim in the sea almost all year round.
                      Love swimming (refer above) walking and partying and eating.
                      Cant cook - have tried to poison many people - eat out and takeaways all the time.

                        2 children...10 and 14...one of each...they are both spawns from satan...(my girlfriend teasingly calls me Lucifer)..HA HA

                          job: plasterer and renderer. starting up own company as we speak
                          drinking since, oh i cant remember a long time.
                          have done 120 af days before but will do again. on my 4 day today i think
                          love this site its my hobby, also cars, my projector and smoking.

                            55 yrs in a couple of weeks ---- everyone is right ... scary when you actually see it written!
                            married for 32 years in another month. Hubby is very special and he'd be surprised to hear me say that because I really don't treat him like that, but I should. He drinks very little and has put up with my drinking for far too many years .... have always been wondering why he's never said "enough is enough"!
                            2 wonderful girls, 28 and 26. One dating (after a 5 year hiatus) her high school sweetheart ... the other is too career oriented and hasn't found her soulmate yet.
                            have always had dogs (from Shi-Tzu to Great Dane), but presently left with the kids' cats.
                            Stay at home mom for 28 years.
                            Play tennis in the winter (indoors) and golf during the summer.
                            Took up Bridge (serious bridge, not kitchen stuff) a couple of years ago ---- wow, what a brain exercise that is!
                            Love to travel --- have visited N.Z. (yes, boozehag, it is the most beautiful country that I've ever visited) and just recently back from 5 weeks in Australia/Tasmania. (I have a girlfriend and her family that I visit every now and again there)
                            Favourite beach holiday place is Aruba ---- have been going there every year for the past 21 years.

                              Hi, I am female. 45......today. I work in IT and have a fantastic husband who I have been married to for 21 years in September. How he puts up with me I do not know....but he does and we are very happy. More so since I have given up the booze.
                              I have one furry friend (Larry dog) and no kids. My passion is animals, and now it is coming on here to talk to all of you lovely folk.
                              Nice thread, its great to get a picture of everyone.
