    New to the program

My husband and I have been together for 10 years, he just started this program a few weeks ago. I have been waiting for real results, I guess I am too anxious for the final outcome. I am having a difficult time understanding how it is possible to be committed to the program and still have a couple of drinks a day.

Many can not moderate. I can not tell you how many attempts I have put myself through only for the result to be the same each time. I think there tends to be a misconception sometimes as to what MODERATION is.....it is NOT having drinks each day. Please read RJ's book. It will help you both better understand the program.

Hi there. Judging the way my spouse acted when I was drinking, I'm guessing you are hoping for quick results for your husband. This site is wonderful and has helped many out, but like anything else he has to be committed to working the program that it lays out, and it takes time.

Take a look at the book as it contains a lot of info, and read the posts here as they offer a lot of insight.

waiting, bless your soul and your hubby's too. I've been on both sides of this fence and it sucks. Unfortunately it worse for the addict. As miserable as they are, being an enabler is fairly easy, I mean fairly. I had had to kick my best friend out of my house. It broke my heart. But now I know.
              withdrawl is a freaking nightmare
people kill themselves, to avoid the symptoms, he did, a pistol to the head
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to get permission.
