Lets start a 7 day plan to get this jump started

carebear;426866 wrote: Hi Paisly, I'm definately joining everyone, on day 2 and struggling with the shakes, anxiety, willpower and sweats, just keep moving around trying to sweat it out, day 1 was hard, definately wanted that wine, finding chamomile tea helping and valarian, this site is helping so much. went 33days and felt great after about day 10, thought I could control my drinking after that, definately not, but 7 days sounds good to me at this moment of feeling so bad, so I look forward to joining you all. I live in Australia :l
welcome carebear!!! i am totally rooting for you! understand always that we understand. its a hard road but guess what we are gonna do it. and breaking things down to 7 day goals may help in achieving this sometimes impossible project!

Lets start a 7 day plan to get this jump started

i have got to get back into shape. This is my second day so far into my second week! I just am scared to really go to the gym because i am afraid people wil judge me due to the few lbs i had put on from all the drinking. I am flabby and its not cute. i need to get a boost of encouragment. i do feel better AF but damn boy its not easy dealing with the clean up process.

i need my L-glut to get here.

            how is everyone??

I am so proud of all you 7-dayers and Pasiley you go to the gym and hold your head high! Don't you worry about what anyone else thinks; you know what you have accomplished over the past several days and you should be very proud. The weight will come off. You go girl!

Hi Paisley ---- I know what you mean about the extra pounds from AL ... I've got about 20 of them to get rid of! I go to a Women only gym ... you'll find all shapes, sizes and ages there and feel more comfortable. I hadn't been for most of the summer because I try and golf as much as I can then and I'm outdoors with gardening, etc..... just hate to be inside doing a workout. Now that the fall is here, I've got myself back there, but have to make a real committment to get there 3 times per week. My team tennis starts next week, so that will give me some exercise too, but I need to get into better shape to hold up for 2 hours of competitive tennis (doubles, mind you).
So, let's do our bodies some real good ... no AL and some exercise .... we should see those pounds gradually disappear (I'm really hoping they will .... I'm fed up with the weight).

Doing well here Paisley. It sounds like most people are doing very well. Kudos!! I take Glutamine. I find it very helpful. I bought mine at GNC. They had a sale, so I got two bottles for the price of one. I also got a GNC gold card while I was there. With that you get 20% off of everything for the first week of every month. It is a good deal for me as I take like 20 vits/supps a day. I will be clinging to ya on Sunday.lol. Until then I feel like I am on stable ground. I am wrapping up Day 16. I did invite my sister over for football on Sunday. She does not drink and she certainly knows my history and what I am doing now.

Lets start a 7 day plan to get this jump started

                      Hi all,
Things are going great for me regarding AL. It seems like a distant memory sometimes and other times it is fresh and raw in my mind. Some things I cherish about being AF are not having to pretend I'm not drunk when I truly am...Not having to worry about if someone can smell AL on me...Not worrying about forgetting important things....not worrying about talking and slurring my words. It is a total freedom thing for me and I appreciate every hour of every day that I am clear headed and able to meet the challenges of my daily life. That is not to say I am without problems...I do have problems in my life but I am in a far better mental and emotional condition to start "dealing". I am on Day 57 and very proud. Kriger

Congratulations Kriger on 57 days ---- and so you should be proud! Well done! The days I'm AF I also feel like you do --- being clear headed and the freedom from all the crap that AL can cause. I need to keep that front and center as I continue to fight to be the one in control. Thanks for your inspiration.

                          Thanks New Day,
I like being "in control" of myself. That is a truly great feeling. I guess, down deep, I am a CONTROL FREAK but maybe that helped in my fight for sobriety....just maybe.
