Lets start a 7 day plan to get this jump started

Day one crunch time....7:00pm and making dinner. Usually when I open a bottle of vino. Not gonna do it. Where's my L-glut!!!

Gosh, this is nuts. It shouldn't be so hard.
:flower: I'm not as good as I'm gonna get, but I'm better than I used to be.

Regarding the supps ---- I'm using Kudzu and L-Glut that I bought locally. I'm not sure which it is that's working the best, or it's the combination, but I do find they help to curb the cravings. I still get a bit of craving around my critical time of 5:00 and have tried the L-Glut powder directly under my tongue and it certainly does help. I'm taking vitamin supps and Milk Thistle too.
Bedtime for me ... see you all tomorrow!

Buy L-glut locally, almost any pharmacy, Walgreens, Walmart, etc. Buy the Kudzu only from this site, all others are inferior (I've tried them, don't waste your $$$). Good luck, buddy. Just started the All-One powder and it really does help me feel better. Bought the fruity stuff and got it cheaper on Ebay. Good night. Made it through day 3 AF and I'm wiped out. Why is this so hard? Sigh. Take care, all.

Lets start a 7 day plan to get this jump started

            Hi All,

Just got back from dinner with my friend and drinking partner - he had wine, I had hot tea. It was difficult but I did it for day 3 of AF. I will admit that I have to be carefull because I could easily find myself substituting food for alcohol. I slept like a rock last night - didn't wake up with a stomach ache or headache - very nice.
Congratulations to all who have made it through another day of AF. The weekend is coming up and this is my hardest time - I am thinking of things to do that will keep my mind of the drinking and yet have a good weekend. Well, thanks to all for the words of support and Good luck to all of us for another day.

              Hi Everyone!

It is morning time here in Ireland now and I have managed to struggle through to what is now Day 4 AF for me.

Found last night very difficult though and as many others have mentioned I seem to be using food, especially crisps and sweets, as a substitute - don't normally eat that type of stuff at all but I guess it is better than drinking. I'll deal with it later!

Wishing all the best for today

                  Good Morning you guys!!

Here is another day we must face and for some of you, I am sure that it has already begun. I survived my day 3 and oh yes it was a tough cookie. I am imagine today will be the same. I am getting the L-glut. I just had no idea I could purchase it at Walgreens. After work today, I know where I am heading.

Anyway, waking up this morning was not bad at all. I was up and ready to go. Its so much easier without that cloudy/heavy headed feeling. Oh and by the way, I noticed that in these three days I made so far, I have less bags under my eyes. Goodbye concealer. At least for now.

Well, lets go guys!!! Day 4 for me.. eeek. We should check in on each other throughout the day!

Day 3 AF for me. Yesterday was tough but I made it, yeah! My husband was "kind" enough to buy me 2 bottles of wine yesterday when he knows I'm trying to go AF. They're unopened and will stay that way no matter what. paisley, don't you love the lessened bags? It's awesome! Take care, all!

                        Good Morning (well here anyways)

You are all inspiring. I'm glad to have joined your thread and happy to report I went to bed sober last night for the first time in a very long time. Thanks to this site and some nice folks on chat.

Good job to all of you on whatever day you are tackling

Hey, Bandit don't worry about the snacking thing. Crisps and sweets are SO much better than old AL. You can worry about controling the food thing later after you get more time under your belt AF. Here we go onto another day- hang tough everyone and be girding yourselves for the weekend temptations.
                          Toughen up!

Happy 4th day! :goodjob:I can really feel the difference. I haven't been using any supplements this week because I had oral sugery and I'm taking antibiotics and motrin so I've been able to get my inspiration to stay AF from this great website. Although this oral sugery was not pleaseant to say the least, it's been a blessing. I haven't felt like drinking and I'm feeling good about being AF. I'm enjoying being part of this thread, hope we can keep it up after the 7 days! After I finish my medication I will start up the L-Glu and Kudzu. I believe that after these 7 days it will be easier to not binge drink because I feel stronger physically and spiritually. My plan is to continue my t'ai chi/qiqong, yoga, meditation and the gym a couple of times a week.

Paisley, thanks again for starting this thread. Don't worry about the weekend everyone, just keep your eye on the goal and when those thoughts come just let them go; they are just thoughts and they cannot control you. It's like riding a wave; ride it and before you know it you'll be on dry land again AF!

                            Hope everyone is doing well

I say we keep this thread going because there maybe times when people fall off and thats okay but we need to remember that there are people out there who care and understand the struggle of addiction (no matter what that addiction) God knows I needed help. And I am glad to say that with you guys and the helpful information etc I gotta say my fourth day AF is beareable.

I cant begin to thank this website and all you guys that are just down right real and honest.

So anyway, I am surviving my fourth!! Hope you guys are doing well or even not??? If you need encouragement lets just be there for each other.
