Lets start a 7 day plan to get this jump started

paisley, think of no bags under your eyes :H

ak, the CDs do help and I think they help in ways even more than I realize. I don't concentrate on his voice I just try to relax. Maybe that will help?

    Congrats, savon! :l

Okay, some ideas of things to get us through the weekend. I'm day 4 AF and am NOT going to blow it for some stupid ethanol:

Go to a bookstore, especially one with one of those cafes where you can read their books for free!

Do gardening, wood chopping, etc. Right now I'm smashing up an old wooden bookcase and it feels GOOD!

    Go shopping/browsing.

    Read.

Rent tons of DVDs and eat any damn thing you want to.

    Go to the library.

    Walk your dog(s).

Start up a new hobby. I've recently taken up knitting again. I had no idea how good I was and can't pick up where I left off so I'm starting something new. And easy.

Clean off all that crap on your computer you know you should clean up but have been putting off since windows 98!

Visit an animal shelter and tell them you love them.

I'm staying away from restaurants unless they're alcohol-free.

    Go to a flea market.

This is really working for me...clean out a closet/shelf/drawer. I've been throwing/giving away and selling stuff on ebay (I've made hundreds!). It's giving me such a sense of accomplishment.

Visit a park and watch people, pretending your reading the paper.

    Go to an auction.

Go to a movie, or two.

Go to a local high school or college game and cheer them on.

Tell your kids you'll do whatever they want to do (within reason) then do it (yikes!).

Okay, time to tackle that bookshelf again. This is fun! Take care! :l

Good Advice!! Thats a bunch of stuff (productive stuff) we could do to preoccupy our time with. Sounds like fun too. The thing is I bet we could probably come up with tons more!!

I am totally excited to take on the weekend challenge. I am imagining the great sense of accomplishment that will feel like. But you know what? We have already accomplished much so lets keep on this path that leads to a healthier and happier us.

BTW, has anyone bought anything from MWO healthstore? I am thinking of purchasing stuff that might help but I am always hesitant to buy w/out opinion.

I've bought the Kudzu Rescue and now won't buy Kudzu anyplace else, I downloaded the MWO book, I bought the CDs and bought the True Calm which I really don't need and won't buy again.

            hello to all
As I read the posts today, I was thinking that although we might be at different days we have accomplished so much already. Just being able to get up without a hangover, remember what we watched on tv last night, or even remember what we said, and do things that we wouldn't be able to do if we were drinking all these things are accomplishments. I'm at day 5 today and although physically I don't feel well today because of the oral surgery I had a few days ago, spiritually I feel uplifted. Lets stay focused on our goal what ever it may be at this point. Have a great weekend!

OMG Paisley, yes! I have been eating sweets like there is no tomorrow. I guess it is pretty common. I'm okay with it. It's better than Al for sure

Sooo good to know i am not the only one having cravings for mostly salty and sweet stuff. I know I am not pregnant thats for sure. Unless its an immaculate conception lol. Okay, enough corniness.

Cant wait to have my regular appetite back though but right now I am focused on the AF project!!!!!!!!!

                          Hi All,

I wanted to take a minute to see how everyone is doing. So glad to hear that we all made it through another day. Day 5 for me AF, however, I am having a food craving and headed out to an Italian resturant but after reading all of your positive words, I am positive I will not have an adult beverage and I will feel great tomorrow as I head in to day 6 AF. I am having food cravings for sure but I too can't worry about that right now. Congratulations to us all and lets keep on going!

                            Hi everyone,

Day 3 and Fri night. A little worried here. Not really craving at the moment but its the witching hour. Weekends are usually my downfall. I really want to get past this one. Hope you are all well tonight :groupluv:

                              Hey you guys..

I just got home from a dinner with some friends on this Friday night. I had a perrrier water and every one of my friends looked at me like i was an alien. I mean, i got it left and right. I ended up saying i was simply watching my diet. I didnt want to tell them about my AF plan because i really dont/didnt feel comfortable telling them from the get go that there was a problem. I left and i was sad as they didnt really invite me to hang out with them afterwards to the next venue. I am disappointed that they would be so insensitve towards me as i did not want to drink on Friday night. I guess thats a faux pas to them. It was HARD AS IT IS for crying out loud. All i wanted was a martini and just kept thinking I started this thread and this pact and met some pretty cool people who i know would cheer me on so I am sticking to sparkling water.

I am keeping my head up as I am entering the end of my 5th day AF. How are you guys doing?
