I don't think I've ever heard of CST.... excuse my ignorance! From the times posted it's a long way off from London time. You're prob fast asleep as I type! Mind you I'm not far off.....

I think I now have a plan. It's not terrribly MWO but interested in your thoughts.

      1. Drink less (which I define as half this month, half that next month) or, some days, nothing. I've started to try this, it involves testing out the mental self discipline without having to go cold turkey. It would be very obvious if I just gave up, which is bad because I work in the transport industry which, despite I go nowhere near vehicles of any sort, they would need to know if I had an alcoholic problem. I cause no danger so even if I turn up half cut I'm just a bit unproductive, but at the moment cannot 'fess up to a GP

      2. Keep a diary. If I cannot drink less in 8 weeks then go AF for an excuse like 'Advent' or something (tad early but nobody would know).

      3. Go to GP for diabetes test, was advised to do so a year ago but scared. And it's bloody hard to find a GP in Brown's brilliant Britain. If test positive this sorts out (1) and (2).

      4. Talk to all you lovely people and keep up motivation. I should say that during my Lenten abstinence a fab lassie called Cassie was also giving up and was a tremendous inspiration. Cassie if you are reading this, thank you so much and I hope life is going well
