Why does the bottom fall out at 14-21 days?

For me I find that I get a nice string of AF days behind me and the the little voice(moody child) starts saying "You do not have a problem." "You are making too much of it." "There is no reason you can't have a glass of wine." One drink starts the slippery slide. Only I am finding that with each slide I am dipping farther into the abyss!! I am just going to have to redirect the brat!

I did not know about the cookies, but strangely enough I have been baking Organic Oatmeal Raisin/coconut cookies for my husband every week (anything to help him right now), he loves them and tells me how much better they make him feel later at night when he often was opting for the AL. Maybe I am doing something right and did not even know it..

I've been doing cookies for a few weeks now. A cookie instead of a drink. I feel it helps me a lot.

It may just be the sweet sugar stuff. I know from mountaineering class that simply eating a cookie allows your body to release some sucrose, only knowing more is in the system. So eating a cookie gives you a pretty immediate energy lift, even though the oatmeal and complex carbs won't be digested for hours.

Overally I've lost 7 lbs so far, and I'm optimistic that as I go AF I'll finally get rid of the last 5 lbs extra weight. Really amazing that going AF produces such a whoosh effect in some people.
