Hey Chelle: The demons we battle every day are exactly why I replied to your thread from wherever we were the other day when I was "in my cups." That is exactly why I'm here. You're not alone. I still have not accepted that I will never be able to have a drink again. Don't know if I ever will accept that. But, I am willing to fight. My granddaughter plays high school softball. They have a slogan on their tee-shirts that says, "The more you sweat in practice, your less you bleed in battle." I guess you could say, I'm practicing sobriety. If I have AF days, if I have days where I have only one drink or maybe two, that is so much better than where I was. I call that progress. Hang in there, Chelle. I plan to. Kay

Anybody else here struggling with being more than one day AF?

I hit rock bottom last week, and made it the whole Weekend without on drink. What pulled me through the past 5 days was this support group. I also am awaiting for the arrival of the book, which I will read from beginning to end, and probably over 100 times
Try to put the bottle down now, and start reading all the messages that you can in this web site. Read everyones messages, and you will see yourself in all of them

I'm pretty sure she reads quite a bit. She just doesn't always feel welcome to respond or start new threads. I'm the same way. On this site 24/7 but not always up for posting. Just a lot of reading...

Spot on.
I feel as if, if I cant help people then what's the point of constant posting about my own probs which just drag others down.
But I have read RJ's book... I have read Allen Carr's book... Ive read numerous "how to stop being an alcoholic" books and tried supplements and will power.. but it all seems to lead back to square one.
Im a tough cookie.. had a hard life, but my weakness is AL.. and if I cant post and talk about my weakness here then where the hell can I ?
