    Hope all are well. Came LAST today in the boat race just one of those days:upset: the dark hex hitched a ride home with me tragedy Number 2 I was starving hungry so i put 2 crumpets in the toaster but when they popped i just couldnt get em out so I grabbed a knife to try and pry them out dear Lucy was saying Daddy dont do that its dangerous sure enough i touched the electrical things with the Knife got a minor FRIGHT and Zapp before the safety switch kicked in . Oh well I'm just lying here SOBER waiting for the roof to cave in on me :H You gotta laugh or Cry its been one of those days hope you Guys have a better one :H

    Too funny - ya know Captn, I have a "sorta" similar story, well not really!!! (daughters in it!!!)...I was on my way out for a very special dinner, and was going to take my daughter to my Moms beforehand. On my way out, my daughter said I "wrinkled" a bit on the front of the shirt I had on. Well...instead of taking it off, (didn't want to mess up my hair), I just pulled the shirt over the ironing board w/my chin at the end. She said "Mommy, thats not the way you do it, you might burn yourself".....YEP! About an inch long burn on my neck!!!! Old story, but love the fact that kids sometimes are SOOO much smarter!

      OK - I may have you beat, Captn...

      I had interview yesterday late afternoon. Got out of car to put jacket on, gust of wind slammed car door shut - LOCKING IT! So I had to go to interview with no purse, no cell phone to call for help, no resume... OMG.

      Had one beer w/dinner - wouldn't have, but "date" did, so I felt kind of obligated (not sure why??).

      Tonight I'm going to a club - only bec. friend's son is a rock promoter who wanted her to help. She asked me to help, too. (Not sure what "help" even means, but I agreed!!)

      IF we have to pay for our drinks, I may have ONE, if they're free, I may have TWO (since I'm driving).

      Orrrrrr..... not have ANY??? Just have a soda? Is that possible in a club atmosphere??

        OMG....You worry me CAPT.there will be many more races and some you'll win, some you'll lose but putting a knife in a toaster can be the last thing that you ever do.My step father was an electrician and I remember when I was about 9, going to his partners funeral because of putting a knife in a toaster(he should have known better, being an electrician,RIGHT?).That was in 1961.Thank God today there are built in safe guards, but still........Please unplug it first.I love you and I love toast BUT....you being toast is not a GOOD THING.

            Sav I just did that same thing drove to work parked the car ( Old Jalopy) Locked the front door and put the keys on the back seat as I grabbed my coat a tiny puff off wind came and shutthe door with my bag and access key to work AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. You know what Im not religious but I swear that was a little Devil who went PUFFFF to stuff my day up HAAA you gotta laugh

                  OK, this stuff is too funny! It's good to start out laughing.

                  Savon, it is possible. Why don't you try it? One or two would be pointless for me. The little effect wouldn't be worth the risk or how much brain energy I spent on it. (I have to be careful of my brain expenditures these days :H)

                  OK, so the guy called me back and we discussed the job thing. It's actually me giving a recruiting company my resume for temp. work but they have benefits, etc. and there is the possibility of me working for them VS an outsource, so it's not what I thought. BUT, going to drive up tomorrow for leaf viewing and lunch with him anyway! I am quite tickled at myself for doing this. I don't want to get too used to to doing things by myself or with my GFs. When I took a career break, I became a barber because I like men. I need to find one that would like to take me camping.

                  By the way, I met a MWO person (Brittzak) in living color yesterday! We had lunch. Such a sweetheart!

                    (OK Pan - the ironing thing was FUNNY. Luckily, I avoid ironing at all costs, so probably don't have to fear this one!!)

                    But Capn ---- locking yourself out of car on JOB interview sorta makes you look rather Incompetent??!

                    I didn't mention, but I Did Not get the job... Hey! If they don't have sense of humor, who wants to work with them anyway!!

                    OK, Greenie - I'll Think about not having any. Like you said, ONE is just not ENUFF! (Hmmm, guess that's why we're here!)

                        Happy Saturday kids!!!!!

                        I am so happy to have a day off! I will be spending it with my 10yr old daughter going shopping. I was her bday and she has a whack of $$ and G/C's burning a hole in her pocket! I then am taking my mom who is recovering from a hip replacement, grocery shopping as she finally moved back home. Then I get to come home and clean and do laundry!!! But it's still a day off, and tonight is fight night!!!!! Woohoo!

                        Your stories have made me laugh!!!! I am sure I have done something like that...yes, I have, about 3 times locked keys in car while running! Very smart! Cap--I hope you are ok....

                        I hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday doing what they want to do.....Day 11 AF for me!

                          Sexy Black dude way to go 11 days is perfect keep on keeping on HA Im ok i have a six year old looking after me !!!!Its funny since I work in the product safety area make kids toys safe and stuff and I have to be reminded by sweet daughter NOT to put the Knife in a Toaster

                            Thanks for kicking us off "crispy" Capt.lol. Capt. we got people talking.lol; been asked if we are an "item".lol
                            Feeling good today; went to an AA meeting last night. Day 4 today. I am working the whole weekend, so that keeps me out of trouble.lol.
                            My CD's are on the way!! I am so psyched that I will finally have them. Now just have to pick up the kudzu, and wait a few weeks until my doc will give me the Topa. Hopefully, the tool box will be filled soon. Hope everyone has a Great Day!!
