Maybe today!
Well I failed yet again last night, although, I did not drink any beer I did have wine. Not a lot but still I drank. I am not going to make the same mistake I have the last oh I don't know maybe 20 times I have come here. The minute I drink I throw in the towel and stop coming here, well I am not doing it this time. I am just going to keep praying that I can atleast go one day af and keep coming here for support. I see how many of you did it, deep down I know my day will come when I can say I am truly af.

So.... what's your plan, 2sox???? Being hopeful, and praying for a good result, usually are not going to be enough.... ! Getting a good result requires some changes in your behavior, in your environment, in your thinking; most people benefit from supplements, maybe medication, exercise, hypnotherapy, meditation, learning to observe one's thoughts, figuring out triggers and working with them, listing one's reasons for not drinking, and referring to the list frequently.... What are YOU going to do differently?

What WIP said is true. And try to take it one day at a time. Today I will not drink. You can do it! When tomorrow comes, do the same - Today I will not drink. And again, the next day - Today I will not drink. and the next day and the next day. You can do it!

I'm really in no position to offer advice:H
But . . . . in addition to the supps and cds I've decided to take a walk whenever I find myself eyeing that bottle or six-pack! I have to have some plan for that moment that sometimes strikes. And for me it has to be something active because I am the poster child for stress and anxiety. Honestly, I don't care if there's a blizzard - I am going to trudge through it if needs be. Maybe a few of those will teach me a lesson!
We can do this twosox. In my case I HAVE TO DO THIS. Right now I'm a nervous wreck, and scared to death that I'm going to fail again, but I do have some contingency plans, and will make more as I a go!

I have been working out and I'm trying to keep myself more busy when I get home from work and after I'm done cleaning. It seems to be when I finally sit down is when I want a glass of wine or a beer. I almost think it is out of habit just like when I smoked, which I quit 13 years ago. So I am going to try to have a glass of apple cider or water today when I finally do sit down. I know the times when I was able to go a few days even a week if I just got past 6:00pm without alcohol the craving went away. So again I will try tonight hopefully I can come on here tomorow and say I did it. Thanks for the advice.

Twosox, exercise is a big help.Try eating tons of Grapes...they are an ayurvedic anti craving food that has been used for centuries. For me it was always the hardest to get pasted day 1.It gets easier and easier the longer that i was AF.It is almost 6months for me and that is truly a miracle. If I can do it, I know you can.sigpicEyes on the PRIZE, a SOBER Future !!!

twosox,
Congratulations for coming here for support instead of shying away! Good for you! Have you read the My Way Out book? Following that program, eating regularly and taking the supps has helped me tremendously. I wish you the best.
