Hey Sweets... I can relate to house being a mess... when i go on a bender my housework is the first thing to go, hence the reason why im always flaming well cleaning these days.
Things are NOT hopeless for you.. you said you've gone 12 hours without drnking? well isnt that a start? Its more than what im able to do... you stick with what helps..and if it means you logging on here and posting 24/7 then you do it
    Luv,

        Hi Sweet
I agree completely with what Cinders said. First things first, and your top priority needs to be putting the plug in the jug. You will indeed feel dreadful for a few days (please seek medical attention if the withdrawal becomes too much). I never could have done it without medical help. If you get sober, things will fall into place. Please stay close by and let us know how we can help. You do not EVER have to go through this again.:l

Have you stopped drinking Sweet? Early sobriety is an emotional rollarcoaster, but it shall pass and you shall be all the better for it. Feelings are just feelings. They come and go and are harmless. Are you starting to develop a plan for sobriety? Let us know how we can help.

                Hi Sweetgum,

I've read your thread here. I'm so proud of you for being 14 hours sober, it must be difficult. How are you feeling? I understand the depression and the shame. But you're doing such a great job now, can you think about that?

Maybe stop asking why for a while and just get on with trying to heal?
I know if I keep going over and over in my head it tends to make me worse.
