There is a lot of info on Topa. If you look in the meds section you should find some help with that. I know some people go to the doc, but lots also buy it without a prescription. I think you can get it from this site....but not sure..
Might be an idea to see another doctor?

Hello,
I was on Topa as well but did not follow the dosage as listed in the book. It's easy to drink on it if you still "want" to drink. It did help decrease the amount I drank. But I followed the plan half heartingly, doing better at times than others. Sometimes taking it and the supps and sometimes forgetting. All I know is you really have to stick with it and find a way to make it you new routine.

hi penny anyone can stop drinking its staying stopped thts the problem,nor do som want to,i like wht wip said very few doctors hav much training in alchoholism,my doc was very hurt by it after i got treatment and dropped me as a patient,no one can prove thts why he did it,somtime s its good to get councilling by somone whos worked in dependency facilities,just to listen,i did,he helpd me tremendously,as far as too much drink,a few is ok, 3 maybe 4,the rest are just adding to the numbness,gyco

as a newbie it saddens me greatly to observe such a lack of respect for fellow members! I have found WIP an inspiration and am so glad that she like others do voice their opinions because that is what is so helpful! Don't let this attack for no apparent reason stop you or anyone, we have a right to express our opinions here and should not be insulted as a result. Can you remove posts once you have sent them, can others remove your posts, i am fairly new and dont understand although im sure i would like to know how to delete ones you have regretted sending?
