Pipsqueak, my plan is to start Campral after two days AF, which will be Sat. the 3rd. I"m loaded up on kudzu and have planned at least two weeks of work outs, which always helps me get it together!
I've also signed up for a pottery class! That will give me something else to do except go home and drink! I also get to work out at the same facility that offers the classes.
I'm excited! ....and a little nervous too....

Hey everybody - I am gearing up for AF January too. Been rough over the holidays for me too Rags. But I really want to do this and need to get a plan in place. I still have some supps left and will do them, along with the CD's, plus do the WildRose Detox starting January 4. Maybe if I plan this out really well, I can succeed! I feel so gross and bloated and have eaten too much and feel totally run down cuz I stay up too late every night and smoke to many ciggies and sleep late and have been bereft of energy. I will get to the pool tonight!!!!! I actually took down my christmas tree this afternoon as I am tired of the clutter and need to change things up a bit around here.

So here's to january everybody. The support of all you people is so important to so many of us, and all you who have had such success - you are inspiring to me. I've done it before, I can do it again, right???

I'm in. Have a long flight on 3rd Jan, and going to allow myself AL on the plane as I'm a nervous passenger, but after that I'm all go. I'm also joining my son in having a vegetarian month so will be interesting!

Count me in...I am so sick of fighting this battle. I promise myself I either won't drink at all, or I'll try not to drink until a certain time at night, or I'll only have one or two and I fail miserably. I am broke but I have some left over supps from the last time I tried. I did well then, too. Only have myself to blame. The new year is a perfect beginning.

I'm in for love and support. I am happy to give back all that I have recieved here. I made 60 days Dec 29 and this time I know I have found peace. I still need that constant reminder which is why I will be with all of you for my next 30 days and shooting for that year. One step at a time.

Please count me in too! I tried AF about 6 months ago when I first found this site but failed and felt too ashamed to keep posting. Felt so ashamed at Christmas as I can barely remember it. Now on Day 3 AF and my first sober New Year.
Have been reading posts for a while but not been able to abstain. Really need to and have been so inspired by reading all the wonderful threads and posts on this site. Just needed to get my head round it all and still trying! Good luck to all sober partygoers tonight!

I think it's great to have so many making the commitment to change your life and get rid of this burden...

Stick together, read and post often, share your success and struggles....there is strength in numbers.

And let me just say...just because tonight is your last night of drinking doesn't mean you have to see how much alcohol you can possibly consume in one night....

Think about tomorrow. Get excited about finally changing....

You can't believe how wonderful it is to see everyone so ready to kick this in the bud! Day 4 aL for me and I can't remember the last time I wasn't three sheets to the wind by this time on New Years. Great Job everyone! Happy New Year
