Welcome Mr. And Mrs. Leftwich, I still have no desire to be in a bar at all. It feels like I would be a minnow in a tank of pirrhanas. No way, I have no business being anywhere near a bar!
So I was so psyched to get pulled over today! It's astronomical the feeling of pure joy to say yes I was coming from a birthday party and not even have the officer ask me if I was drinking! He let me go
I love the green tea for St. Patties idea. Definitely gonna do that one!!Day 1 again 11/5/19
Goal 1: 7 days :heartbeat:
Goal 2: 14 days :happy2:
Goal 3: 21 days :happy2:
11/27/19: messed up but back on track

One day at a time.

Good evening Nesters,
Good job on the 31 AF days CG
Tip, wishing you the best for a long, happy & sober life together with your Frenchman!
I've never heard of Irish Creme balls so I'll stay out of that discussion :H
Green tea (decaf) has been my drink of choice since my quit. Honestly, I am hooked on it now & that's OK
Wishing everyone a safe night in the nest & please don't let this weekend throw you off track. You will be much happier campers come Monday morning!!!

Great to hear Mrs. Leftwich As you already know I have been going out and staying sober. Some can do it, others it will be too much of a trigger. But you both sound like you got it down packed. Just because your at a bar does not mean that you have to drink, and it is still a ton of fun to not drink and I think of it this way, if money and time was no issue us non drinkers could party 24/7.I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.
Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.
Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.

I'd have to agree with Nursie, even after more than 2 months juiceless I get wobbly even thinking about being in a bar. For those who can do it, more power to you! Hope everyone has a great, dry weekend.2023 - focus, getting it done, and living the way it should be and being the person I need to be.

Stella,
I don't think any of us are ever 'better' as in cured!
I think we work to become sober then work some more to stay that way
Fasten your nest belt & stay for a while!
