I am still here just trying to figure out how to make the picture of Stella smaller. Apparently she is too big, and she is only 2 days old...What are they going to think when she is 30 days old? Oh poor Stella. I am not going to tell her she is too big, it might hurt her feelings. :upset:

Nanette, you've seen Lav's posts...her avatar is a chicken and her name is Stella. We have a nester named Running Courage and he writes skits that include us all. In the last installment, I was a porn star Believe me when I say this has NOTHING to do with my real life!! He just has a very active imagination. In his story, Stella is always trying to get her beak on booze. I also have a couple of sayings around here and one of them is that we all get Addiction Head, Dick Head for short, he uses that in his skits, too. He is soooo dang funny, you should read back a few weeks and see what he has us doing.
OH, you are trying to post a picture...I thought you drank!!! Whew! Sorry....'square one' is something we hate to hear around here! I'm sorry I can't advise you on the avatar thing! If you go up to the top of the page you will see some things about user CP...I think what you are trying to do is there...B

When I said back to the drawing board I meant on figuring out the website and how to post pictures etc. I am good, . I am actually eating a healthy supper and a cup of tea. This is actually new for me, eating. All good. and very proud of myself too boot.

I have read about Stella and I have enjoyed the stories and adventures she has. I also enjoyed her part in The Big Sober House the other day. I was even mentioned in it. Made me feel part of the group.

How about Tres-Stella? or Stella II. or She is an Apple Blossom Amaryllis so wait for it.......Apple Blossom. Not to be confused with apple bottom. That is totally different. I crack myself up sometimes

OK EVERYONE my Amaryllis Sober Buddy is now name APPLE BLOSSOM. YAY!Watch for pictures once i figure out how to do it.

Day 49 in the Big Sober House

Day 49. 8am. It's Sunday morning. Stella (THE CHOOK) is out in the yard doing some sly and crafty work with a pair of pliers. There's a wire fence now around the Booze Shed. While everyone sleeps in she tries to get closer to the shed. Then she hears a voice...

STELLA (THE FLOWER): Whatcha doin?

STELLA (THE CHOOK): Whoa! Eh... 'Am....eh.... hello? Who's there?

STELLA (THE FLOWER): It's only me.

STELLA (THE CHOOK): Me? Who is me? Where are you?

STELLA (THE FLOWER): Right here.

STELLA (THE CHOOK): Where?

STELLA (THE FLOWER): Here. Look over here. Near the door.

STELLA (THE CHOOK): But I don't see anyone.... aw shit... I need a drink... I'm hearing voices...

STELLA (THE FLOWER): No you're not. Look, I'm sitting by the door.

STELLA (THE CHOOK): Yup...I've gone coo-coo...

STELLA (THE FLOWER): My name's Stella

STELLA (THE CHOOK): Yup. I've definitely gone coo-coo... Really need to get into this shed. (Stella (THE CHOOK) returns to fighting through the fence with the pliers.)

STELLA (THE FLOWER): Hey, I don;t mean to scare you.

STELLA: (THE CHOOK): Oh, god, oh god, oh god... I'm going mad. I am. I am certifiably insane. I have me speaking to me in my head. Oh dear... maybe i should tell Lav...

STELLA (THE FLOWER): I aint in your head. I'm real.

STELLA (THE CHOOK): Lalalalalalalalala.... not listening to the voices..... lalalalalalala...

Back inside, a few are stirring. One looks out the window...

SAMIEJ: Hey Scottie - don't you think that chicken there looks like it's talking to itself?

SCOTS LADY: The one hoding the pliers?

SAMIEJ: Yeah.

SCOTS LADY: Forget about whether it's talking to itself - don't you think it's odd that a chicken is HOLDING A PAIR OF PLIERS?!

SAMIEJ: Maybe...

SCOTS LADY: Hey - look over there, at the porch window, who's that?

KISSTHEBULL: It's a newbie.

BYRDIE: Morning every - KISSTHEBULL! Welcome back!

KISSTHEBULL: There's a newbie in the porch.

BYRDIE: A newbie? A NEWBIE! Bull, get the door. Everyone get up, we got ourselves a new newbie!

Benni is welcomed to the house.

SCOTS LADY: Byrdie, sorry to interrupt, but there seems to be a chicken holding a pair of pliers and talking to itself out in the yard.

LAV: No worries, that's only Stella. She'll be trying to get into the BoozeShed. Maxie will see to her. MAXIE!

Maxie wakes. Sees Lav. Lav notions towards Stella (THE CHOOK). Maxie gets up, saunters over to Stella (THE CHOOK)....

STELLA (THE CHOOK): Aw, shit... morning Maxie...

And picks Stella up in her mouth and returns to the coop

STELLA (THE FLOWER): Whoa! You just got picked up by the dog!

STELLA (THE CHOOK): Shut up Stella. Shut up. It's only a voice in your chicken brain. Lalalalalalalalalalalala.....

Meanwhile, back in the livingroom of the house, DorothyFree and Emily are putting on their fighting gear.

LOLA: Whatcha doin' girls?

DOT: 'Am showing Emily my fighting and survival techniques.

LOLA: I see.

DOT: Yes, it's called "Accept and Commit"

LOLA: Right.

DOT: Yeah, and it means, "ACCEPT that's there's feckin voices in yer heid and feckin knob-ends ootside yer heid that want to derail you and bring you down and COMMIT to ignoring the bastards."

LOLA: So why all the fighting gear DorothyFree?

DOT: Ehm... cos every fighter needs some fighting gear.

STELLA (THE CHOOK): Gimme some. I want some of this Accept and Commit shit... I gotta a fricking voice in my head that says i'm a flower. A FLOWER! How dare a voice in my head say that I am a FLOWER. DO i look like a FLOWER? No. Exactly. I aint no flower. I, Stella, am a hard core, full-feathered, lean, mean fighting machine and I will accept NO shit from ME and MY VOICE-IN-MY-HEAD.

STELLA (THE FLOWER): But I am a flower...

STELLA (THE CHOOK): Hear that? Did youse? Hear that.

Stella THE CHOOK attempts a karate chop with her feathered wings

STELLA (THE CHOOK): Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii..........YA!

And then attempts a karate kick

STELLA (THE CHOOK): Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii........

But falls over

STELLA (THE CHOOK): Shit.

LAV: Maxie - get that chook back in the coop...
