Curious, good to see you, too....
Read back a week or so and get to know us, then jump on in!
Other than Antabuse, I don't think we have anyone using the other meds here in the nest....check under the New Post section, you will see to the right the different sections here...look for the one that has drug-looking names in it! Sorry to be NO help on that.
If you'd like to give a go under your own power, maybe we can help!! Please stick around! Welcome aboard! Byrdie
I'm in the nest and I use baclofen as well as Antabuse as a safety net, (if I ever need it,) I tried going off the baclofen but those compulsive drinking thoughts came back so I don't dare to stop taking it yet. Maybe I'll try again when I have 1 year sober but for now...I'm happy and I'm sober and I owe alot of that to baclofen.

Yeppers. That Bronchial Pneumonia was very bad! I'm on antibiotics and the coughing is less and fever is gone. It feels like my ribs are cracked from all the coughing. The girls aren't going for their usual adventures. They are such a comfort to be with and don't seem to mind being "Coach Potatoes" with me for a few more days. They miss their bike rides, I'm sure of that! :l :h

Hi everyone, just checking to wish u all well and get my MWO fix

Day 6 is coming to an end here for me in sunny -but freezing!!-Spain and I'm feeling very optimistic about reaching my first target tomorrow. I'm dreading next week though because I have ten days off work. But my husband is off too so I won't have much time alone (one of the many dangerous times for me!) and we are already planning AF busy days out. I have my plan, my back up plan, and will beat this one day a time.

Sending you all lots of sunshine

              PrettyTulip,
You sound great! Now, just get a backup backup plan and you'll be all set!

Hi Reno - I agree with NoSugar, get some alcohol-free time in before you start trying to diet. Doing TOO much at once is a recipe for disaster. I learned that the hard way. I quit drinking, quit smoking, went on a diet and started to exercise all at the same time. Guess what happened? I failed at ALL of it because I was overwhelmed. Focus on one thing right now...get the alcohol out of the picture and the other things will become easier (not easy, mind you, easIER )
:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

Believe in yourself. You are stronger than you think.

Best to you, pt. One hour at a time is what is working for me. I am almost to my halfway point! The daily disappointments we all face are particularly hard for me. Depression sneaks in, craving become seemily insurmountable. But, before I know it, I feel very, very proud that I didn't drink and that feeling passes.

                Hold on!

Thanks, hippyman, boy, that was a close one. Wow, can't believe it really. Why now? I am alone, watching basketball, everything is cool. I can't blow this.

Thanks. Feeling better. Don't know why it hits between 3-5. Never drank between those hours. Just glad I weathered the storm. Crazy! I want Day 13, but especially Day 30!

Hey Halfway, drink lots of water to fill you stomach up -- then you may not want to drink anything.

Note to the 311 Gang (those posting and those lurking....), we are here for each other so keep checking in. In part, because I can't keep up with the nest and hope you all are doing ok. Warmest, Free
