    Thanks All!
That's what I need to think birdie about them pouring it in a glass lol
Kradle good idea Netflix, I can go to the box not too far from here grab a few movies, Since its the Holiday weekend , I know they will be extra childish. I am saving every text they send to me. But I do turn off the phone at night, better to read them in the morning. I wont let them ruin my sobrierty though please I hope I don't give in, sometimes I get weak at this stuff. I have a great group of people I can post too on this site though which help a ton.

The supplement L~Glutamine under your tongue helps take cravings away. You can buy it at any health food store. Also the herb kudzu has anti-craving properties!

I was thinking of trying it but have not heard too much talk on it. If you have tried it and it worked, heck its worth a try

They both have a positive effect on cravings. The L~Glut under the tongue as soon and as often as a craving comes. I have also heard there is an L~Gut drink mix that works well. The Kudzu from this sites on line store works very well. I ended up using liquid baclofen so the cravings went away and stayed away. :l

I will look into those if these cravings get too bad. I did not know they had liquid baclofen I think its time to start reading more on the meds section on this site.

              New.. just flew over here..

Hi everyone... a few kind people suggested in my first thread somewhere else that i come over here. I'm not sure if any of you guys are here, but once again thank you.

Neurogenic... btw, a spa, sauna, jacuzzi, massage parlour & BBQ sounds AMAZING.

Anyway, I am so inspired by everyone here.. below is my story in a nutshell i guess, if you care to read it.. i'm going to taper off & am really ready but didn't do too well last night, i drank 1.5 liter of wine from 5 to like 3am... really want to start this taper thing. I have these like 4 oz. ikea glasses & was thinking that would be a good way to track drinks.. i'm not sure. just kinda struggling right now... thanks for listening...

Hey Lamb!!! I'm so glad to see you made it over to the nest!! You may want to read back a week or two and get to know us! You are in very good company here...I have noticed on your other threads you have gotten some really good advice on tapering. So hopefully you have the 'how to's' of that. I was not able to taper...after that first drink it was just always a free for all...I finally quit cold turkey. For me, one drink just led to another one. Ugg. Be sure to check out the Tool Box, the link is below, it is a valuable source of information...let us know how you are doing today...this thread is very active (altho this is a holiday weekend and I know many were going out of town)...but we will be here for you. Welcome aboard!! Byrdie

Thinking about it, I did it because I would far rather be known in this role as the Sylv that doesn't drink than how I was known in another job! One of the pair that arrived merry, got paralytic before the main course and fell asleep somewhere, usually in a place like at the top of the staircase or worse. Oh yes the photos on Facebook were funny, but this used to happen in the company of my employer  sometimes on a work night

As the memories come back of some of my escapades its a miracle I haven't killed myself.

The liquid has less side effects. and is inexpensive. Here's where I get mine. Home - Phoenix Research Labs

I think I will do a search for it.

i'm so scared i will probably have one because I'm fearing it so much. I can't devastate my family.. i really need to do this right.
                            Hi Lamb,

I was also terrified of seizures, and had this phobia about having a seizure while driving with my kids in the car and hurting them and others. I never had one, but until I made it past day 7 I was nervous. But I'm totally convinced the supplements helped me.

Whether tapering works or not, I HUGELY recommend you try the supplements. Bobby, you just asked about them, too -- I swear by them. The first day I stopped, I went to a health store and bought the Kudzu, which controls cravings, along with L-Glutamin. GABA, Magnesium, Evening Primrose Oil and Calms Forte calm down the nervous system which helps prevent seizures. You can take Calms Forte whenever you're feeling on edge, and follow the MWO directions for the rest. You can buy them on this site, BUT beware that they will take about 7-10 days to deliver to you, so if you are planning on tapering soon I'd just get them at a health or vitamin store. I'll find the dosage for the supplements and post it.

                            I wish you the best!
