Well...made it through the dance! It was a great time. The kids all were decked out, hair and nails done, and so excited. They danced, I danced, they laughed at me, and all was good. It feels good to dance completely sober. Truly.
Neo, keep doing whatever you're doing. Drink a lot of water, and don't be so hard on yourself with everything else. Try and get as much rest as possible. Think about today, being alcohol free, and make that your only goal. Too much might backfire and you don't wanna relive the early days again.
Good article on Grace Slick, Pav. I like reading that kind of stuff. Makes me feel not alone, and know that this addiction can be managed, if not cured. The common denominator (s) of staying sober, is a support group, talking about how you're feeling, addressing things that make you want to drink, and being grateful everyday.
It's bitter cold here too, Lav. Not a fan of this weather.
