Happy Independence Day, nesters! I hope everyone is staying cool and dry!
All good here, 3 weeks ago, I attended a class reunion (that I organized) and had a wonderful time. It was weird to see some of those people after 45 years, it was like a Twilight Zone. Leading up to the event, my face broke out and I got a fever blister in my nose. The day before I left, I got my hair cut and colored. I told her I needed the dye job of her life…”I want something stunning”. I was stunned alright, my hair was purple! PURPLE! I came home and washed it 5 times, I got the edge off, but it was still purple. Ugg. That is the last color I’m going to do. In spite of my weird hair and pimples, I had a great time.
Being sober was easy. Drinks were $9 each and I wondered how I would have ever afforded the 8-9 drinks I’d have required in days past. I’m so glad to be where I am now. It was hard work, but like all things worthwhile, it was worth it.
Our heat index is 113?. Absolutely brutal.

Byrdie, good to see you & I hear you about the heat, yuck! We had 2.5” of rain yesterday so it’s especially steamy here.
Sorry about the purple hair, I’d be pretty pissed too haha! I do my own coloring so I have no one to blame but myself
When did a drink get so expensive?? Geez, glad to be done with that.
