        Good for you April,
Day 4 was hard for me but after that has started to get easier. I know there will be hard times but at least mybe most of the withdrawal is over with. hand in there.

That's great, April! Gentle hint: you might want to talk about it a bit here, maybe on one of the beginner threads or here on your thread...? Folks will be happy to give you feedback. Also, in the "tool box" thread there is a post about "how to make a plan."

I'm glad to see you getting involved here!

Question about keeping my rum in the house

Seriously, get rid of it. I think what your husband is saying is wrong. You need to stay sober and get rid of all temptation until YOU feel you're READY to confront temptation! Do what YOU think is right, not what other people think especially people without an addiction problem!
                Good luck hun!

Question about keeping my rum in the house

Lilmia....my first MWO friend.....yesterday was kinda hard. I had the urge to drink, but I didn't have any Rum.... In my head I planned a trip to get us some KFC chicken and get some. (This would be my routine to make an excuse to leave the house and come back with Rum) Then it hit me "I don't drink anymore." I did go out and get the KFC, but I didn't buy any Rum. My husband was so proud of me....also he loved the chicken. LOL
