          Drinking is not an option

          1/2 way there folks!

 Cheers m'dear, Sunshine! 2 cups of tea, 30 mins on my powerplate (will explain below) and WINAO (hey, am getting into this forum-speak!). Thanks for your support, Sunshine & Don :l:thanks: SO APPRECIATED!
Right, Sunshine, let me educate you! Madonna is a huge fan, as is Colin Montgomery (Golfer! Now how often do you get those 2 celebs in 1 sentence ?!). It's a vibro-training plate that you stand on, squat on, crunch on, basically anything you want to on! It's supposedly a 60 mins work out in a gym in 10 or 15 mins. I do 20 mins a day (although have been doing up to 50 mins this past week or 2, with a bikini to get into!). Checkout Power Plate® | Vibration Technology | Acceleration Training™ | Physical Therapy Equipment | Low-Stress Exercise | Exercise Home Gym. It's amazing! My local health club had 2 in last year and I got addicted so got the home version. Love it, love it, love it! Have gone down from a size 16 jeans (that's a 12 in USA sizes) to a 10/12 (6/8)! I haven't been that size since I was 14 years old! Right, it's now 7.10pm and just about to go and put my jim-jams on and that's me done!!!! Please forgive me, though, Sunshine in advance for tomorrow night. Because of the bad weather forecast (and let's face it, us Brits just can't DO SNOW!!!) I'm a tad stressed that we're not going to be able to travel to the airport 'cos of bad weather/snow/motorways being closed so we're travelling to the airport tomorrow night and checking into a hotel and, I know in advance, that by 10.00 pm tomorrow night, both Hubbie & I will be having a G&T so please forgive me! Hope everybody's got over HUMP DAY! Will check in later! :h

            Drinking is not an option

Hi sistas, Apologies for my absence but been busy.... now, as we're being accountable I have to 'fess up. Tuesday night I went out to dinner with some girl friends & had 1 glass of wine...I didn't intend on it & didn't even really feel like it but at the time I just couldn't think of a way to say 'no thanks' without people thinking a) I'm pregnant or b) I'm weird or c) have a problem with booze (surely the scariest) Now, I know I know - I'm totally not the kind of person to worry about what others think of me - I am who I am & I try to do the right thing by everyone. So I surprised myself - but it was only one glass.
Back in a sec to finish xo

Aha.. the truth comes out! LOL
You know.. it's totally weird how important it seems what we should say/how we would justify a 'No thank you'.... I think about that all the time, too!

Well, Angel, dear, you're a better sister than me... I wouldn't have stopped at one glass. Well, in public I might have but would have kept going at home, no doubt.

So, good on ya... glad you stopped there!

                Drinking is not an option

Sorry, my neighbour just popped in to look at a website on this 'puter.
Thanks Sunny for the positive words...but wait, there's more...
Last night our friends from Aussie came over for a BBQ and I had 3 glasses of wine. Like you say Sunny, I don't feel so bad, as previously I would've continued drinking after they'd left (we had another 1.5 bottles of wine & some beer left over - I would've drunk most of that)and smoked about 20 ciggies. BUT I went to bed - my hubby cracked another beer (he knows not to encourage me but he would have preferred it if I'd kept him company)and got the ciggies out. I was really tempted but I'm most happy that I didn't smoke, I stopped smoking for 3 months last year and didn't drink nearly as much without the cigs - I felt great. So not smoking is really my ultimate goal and last night was a big step forward for me - so ultimately I done good.
I'm sorry sistas for letting you down on the AINAO thing. I felt like Kramer in that Seinfeld episode when they all place a bet on who can go the longest without w**king - Kramer walks back in about 60 seconds after they made the bet and slaps down his $20 "I'm out - couldn't do it" - hilarious.
Anyway, I'm back & AINAO today - even though it's Thursday and a long weekend - no work tomorrow...usually a big night. Geez, that's gonna be tuff - but you, my wonderful sistas who are fighting the same fight, inspire me to do better. If you can do it Sunny, April, SB, Photo (welcome!)and everyone else...then I can do it too. Thanks & blessings.
                Angel xo

                  Well done Angel!

                  :goodjob::angelgirl:
I tell you what, you people "down under" don't mind commuting a long way for a barbie!!!! Very, very impressed that you had only 3 glasses of wine. Don't feel like you've let anybody down - least of all yourself! At the end of the day and in times gone by, you'd have kept going - boy, do I know that feeling! The fact that you stopped at 3 is GREAT! I'm aiming for a life that I can have 2 or 3 and be done - more than happy - and you've achieved that so WELL DONE! Good Luck for the long weekend too! If somebody asks you if you'd like a glass of wine - just go: :lalala:!!!!!!!
Me - I'm a jamming in my jim-jams with my crunchy nuts and cup of tea! 2 nights AF!!!!!
:groupluv: to all of us on Sunshine's AF wagon!

                        Drinking is not an option

Awesoome Photo - those seem to be magic jim-jams!! It's funny as until recently I produced jim jams for a living...I always thought it was a fairly superficial job...you know, what will the people do without jammies...they'll have to sleep naked - ooooh nooooooooo! It's hardly UNICEF...but you've helped me to see that there's more to them....they're comforters...but don't fall into the trap I did when I was younger & drinking heaps...I actually went to a club in my jammie pants once, they were satin jacquard numbers and I pulled n a T-shirt to match:H
The things al makes us do...no-one seemed fazed by it, I think the general collective - my friends & everyone at the club were in the same head space - that or I was too buzzed to notice/care what others thought. Yeah, probably the latter!!!

AF and NF - Well done you! I tell you what - I take my hat off to anybody doing BOTH at the same time. With Euros you must be saving on both the AL and the N - you'll be rolling in it soon!!! Put all the money you'd have spent into and EMPTY wine/gin/vodka bottle (whatever WAS your tipple and watch the stash mount up) - then go and BLOW THE LOT!!!! :H Thank the lord I never started smoking because I'd have been totally :nutso:!!!!!!

                                PJ Angel!

My jim jams are the MAKE OR BREAK to me NOT having a drink! So, there's absolutely NO risk of me going out partying in them!!!!! I think what it does is strips the "sophistication" of wine drinking down. You see, I like to socialise with a glass in hand. Whether it's with hubby, friends, family or just a girlie Movie and a box of chocs - I'll be in my jeans, high heels and look like a blond sophisticated lady (well, until I have too many that is!!!!). BUT - when you're in your jim jams and furry slippers ........ it's not QUITE the same image - get my drift?! So, PJ Angel, you and your fellow PJ makers are my hero and could just be the help I need! Right - 9.45 pm here, off to have a cup of tea and to bed. Night night all and GOOD LUCK to you all tomorrow - day 4 (or 5 ) - Keep up the good work!!!!!
