I have now stopped smoking for 4 weeks, 9 hours, 58 minutes, 49 seconds. That translates into 795 cigarettes NOT smoked, for a savings of $60.47! At 5 minutes per cigarette I have increased my life expectancy by 2 days, 18 hours, 18 minutes, 13 seconds.

I never spent much on ciggies for the last few years because I bought them from and Indian Reserve - but wow... 795 cigarettes... that's a lotta smokes!

Just a quick check in here. I have a dentist appoitment first thing this morning. Don't know what I was thinking when I made it so early.
Everyone is sounding good. Oney-just think of the money your going to save by not smoking.

To fill you in, I'm here for my 2 sons. Especially the one, who clearly WANTS to quit. I wish he had access to a PC so he could get to this site. His work schedule prevents him from even going to the library. You can read my post under 'My 2 Sons'.
Anyway, I'd appreciate any help with the 'drinking is not an option'...Since I keep telling him that HE makes the conscious CHOICE to get the AL and to drink it. Am I wrong? (He asks me....I tell him). And, yet he knows that I love him and am always there for him, but I try not to be an enabler!!!

Thursday, right!???? We've almost made it through the week, gals! I'm going to say it again and again... THANK YOU for being here... thank you for getting me through this week. It would have been so easy to blow it this week... I mean... who would have found out, right? Instead, by the time Mr. Wonderful gets back, I'll have just about 3 weeks under my belt

Worried - Hello and welcome. Yes, I've read your post about your 2 sons - it must be very difficult for you to stand by and watch :l Good luck with both of your sons... did you download/print the book for them? It may be a nice thing... you know... put a bug in their ear?

So - quick recap of this week... I have made it through 5 days without adult supervision (love that, LTG!), both AF and NF. I've cut down the Chantix from 2mg to 0.mg. I want to be off it next week. Yes, I've had thoughts... on and off... and I can really, honestly see, understand and confirm that those thoughts GO AWAY as long as you don't act on them. Who would have thought? We really don't have to jump up and go buy a bottle - we can just wait it out.

Mr. Wonderful will be away for another week this month... 2 weeks down the road or so... I will be asking you for help again. I'm sure I COULD do it on my own - but I'd so much rather be safe than drunk. Sorry. Rather be safe than sorry! Am I rambling? Probably.

I love reading your posts. I love your sense of humor. Yes, tis Thursday. I think that I will do two AA meetings today. Gotta get a social life, ya know what I mean. But NO Dating, NONE (NUN) I mean zero. Everytime I date a guy in AA, we both end up drinking; makes jumping in the sack easier.lol. Day 5 AF. Yesterday was all about meditation, prayer, and hypnotherapy. It was truly great, but I have to get the F--k out of this house, even if it is a balmy 6 degrees. AA Day today for Sea. Love ya all.

:goodjob: to all of us!!! I know you'll keep up the good work. If this week has taught me anything it's actually taught me to THINK about WHY I want to drink first, before actually opening the bottle. I probably won't be checking in over the next 2 weeks, am taking laptop but not sure if it'll be QUITE appropriate. I'll catch up with everybody when I get back - and guess what, I'll have my TOPA waiting for me!
It's been so lovely being part of this week and I'm confident that you'll all continue - there's so much support here EXACTLY when you need it so ...:wd:

Hey, girlfriends--you all sound so happy and positive and I feel like a sad old bum.
Yep, I let you down girls--drank while I was out of town, on Tuesday night. Felt like crap for my presentation. Probably smelled like booze. :upset:

The worst thing? Knowing I would have to come here and confess my weakness/stupidity to the sisterhood. I feel like I should be expelled/evicted from AINAO but hope you will keep me around.
