meds???

I dont know exactly how the site works, I havent given up yet... I've seen some meds mentioned several times, can i ask are they only helpful for phsyical withdrawal symptoms? I'm not physically dependant but know I really need to face my problem I just dont have the strength yet

Hi Claudia. Never give up trying with this. I am not sure of the meds since I have never used them, but I understand there are meds to reduce craving, for example Topamax and campral, there are meds to prevent you from drinking e.g Antibuse, and there are meds to reduce the effect of alcohol e.g naltrexone. There is a section on the forum that deals specifically with meds, have a read and see what you think. I take the supplements Kudzu and Lglutamine, these help me control my cravings.
