Congratulations Panicked!! You are going to LOVE being free of these addictions. Quitting nicotine seemed even harder for me than quitting al (both are difficult!) but I am so glad I did. Your lungs are going to feel SO GOOD as you get further down the NF path. And just think - being AF you will be "all there" to enjoy every breath you take!

    One day at a time.

      Dear Panicked -

We who have been there understand how much you should be congratulated! :goodjob:
Of all the acomplishments in my life I am the most proud of quitting smoking. It was by far the most difficult of anything I have every done. I smoked from age 13 to age 40. So I know what you mean about not remembering what it was like to not smoke. That was 8 years ago. I am still amazed that I did it!!! And I'm still so glad! If Hubby doesn't congratulate you on being AF (which I know is hard also) as well as NF then you just come out here and post and we'll all give you a great big "Atta Boy!" (I'm from the south, that's the best congrats for those of you who "aren't from around here!") ha ha!

All the best and hugs :l,

      Working toward 90 day goal!
      Then I don't know..
and then I'll hate wine...Ya, that's the ticket...

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I'm a newbie, plus I don't do much chatting on the internet so learning will be a great distraction. P.S. I did know about LOL thanks to a co-worker!

I think that you are doing really good. Maybe hubby doesn't want to mention it, but is just secretly proud of you

Well done - we all need a bit of praise - but you'll get that here plus lots of sensible advice and support. Px

Excellent work Panicked. Keep it going. You'll feel better and better everyday. Your own recognition for your hard work is all you need right now. Focus on you!

Thanks one and all. The praise keeps me focussed. One thing I have noticed which is strange. I have always had bleeding gums when I clean my teeth. I only noticed two days ago, but they don't bleed anymore.
