This is my 2nd self indulgent post today, so apololgies in advance.
Last night on the Army thread I got talking about the bag I'm using to haul my laptop and college stuff around in. It's tartan, red tartan, with black straps and buckles. Not like a granny shopper at all.
I had another 'AHA' moment when I realised what that bag meant. It means I'm getting back to 'myself'.
I was always a little bit eccentric, not really conforming in terms of clothing etc, but for the past few years I really feel like I lost that. I did the nice lady handbags and the ladies who lunch clothes here in Singers, and that's just not me.
I spotted the tartan bag a couple of weeks ago and new I had to have it, and have been carrying it proudly, but I've only just realised how significant it was. I was always proud to be just that little bit 'odd', and I'm delighted to say that I'm feeling confident enough to be that person again, and that's a direct result of being here and doing my AF time. Thank you!
Bad news for my Teen boys though, they already think their Mother's not quite 'right'.
Have a good Thursday Bxx
