    How do I know if I need this?

    Thank you everyone.

    I'm not sure where I fit in in terms of abstaining altogether or drinking in moderation. I guess I'm probably leaning toward being able to have a drink or two on occasion but really changing the paradigm of drinking every night.

    Since last thursday I've been AF except for a fund raiser Saturday night. I had 3 drinks over 5 hours and even went to an after party where the bar owner was chiding me for drinking club soda!

    Then again, binge drinking has never really been what I do. I've always been to paranoid to get drunk in public.

    I thought I'd set a rule whereby I only had wine on the weekends but decided I would probably fixate on the weekend and that's not really the point. The point is to break my drinking habit - in other words, not regular drinking. And drinking only on the weekends is pretty regular.

    So, special occasions, when I go out with friends, etc. But no more at home alone.

    I've been lurking here alot and you've all given me inspiration and strength.
