Didn't think I'd be first here this morning! Is everyone having a weekend lie in? I had to get up because my builder was coming round to look at some jobs I need doing, and I've had three days of early start/late home, so my house was a tip! Rushed round like a loon tidying up before he got here so he doesn't think I'm a total slob

Thank you for all your good wishes and finger-crossing yesterday, the meeting went well and they said they would "be in touch". Sea, I'm so sorry to hear that you didn't get that job - I hope something even better comes around the corner.

Thanks you for your continued well wishes. Not much I can do. Just keep trying. I am just glad that I chose NOT to drink over it. I went to an AA meeting last night, then out to dinner with one of my friends. She had coupons for dinner and we both had a lovely dinner for $1.06. I was pleasantly shocked. I went and picked up my dog from the EX. She always cheers me up. I am going to take her to the beach for some fresh air and exercise for us both. She has never been to the beach before. It is only in the 40's here so I will have to bundle up. I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Evening - haven't been around much today, but isn't it quiet?

LO - you sound like me, I tidy before my cleaner comes, but I'm definitely coming to terms with the fact that no matter how much time/effort/money I throw at it my house will always have that 'touch of jumble sale, enhanced by dog hair' vibe about it.

I'm with Mat and Lo Sea, that job is out there for you - chin up!

Have had a great day, not a teenager in sight, am starting to look forward to a solo trip at the end of the month, need to escape every so often!

Just a quick check in. I either cant get near the computer with teenagers hogging it or like yours Betty they have disappeared. Mine are now in the process of getting ready to disappear for the day!!

Sorry about the job Sea but I'm sure something will come up. Enjoy your walk with the doggie. Mine are nagging for their walk, they dont like their routine upset by the teenagers at week-ends.

Its a beautiful day here in Florida going for a drive to try to get new customers ! I Had a nice night af, watched a movie with my 17 year old daughter (the book club of Jane Austin) very good by the way !!
Tonight me and my husband are going to a club for a promotion so I will double up on kudzo !!!

Hello everyone

The dreaded Saturday night is upon me for the 2nd time. Feeling much more able to cope with a AF evening than I did this time last week. On Day 13 and the success so far has given me strength. Please note everyone that before I became a member here even one night AF was a serious challenge that deserved a reward of extra AL the following night!

Anyway, when I wake up in the morning my kids are making me breakfast for Mothering Sunday and we're going to London for a family day out. (If that doesn't drive me to drink tomorrow night nothing will!!!) So I'm looking forward to waking up with a clear head after a good night's sleep in a great mood!

Blue Sky, I've got the "Saturday nights" too! This time last week was fine because the misery of last Friday was all too near, but I think a week later and that memory has faded. And, like you, one night AF before I joined MWO was a challenge for me. Hope you have a lovely Mothering Sunday tomorrow - we're doing ours next week when my daughter is home for the hols. Can't wait!

I just got back from shopping for a dress for tonight..got the perfect little black dress for the promotion tonight (very cheap to shop in florida) Im a little nervous since there will be lots of peoples to meet and can be potential new customers for our business..(pasta ).. I will not drink any wine...maybe a beer since that doesnt affect me much!!!I did the clearing cd today to calm me and give me confidence...hope it will last.. have a great night everyone..

Decastile, "the hols" = short for Holidays - my daughter is at University and comes home for Easter holidays/vacation, next weekend. Can't wait!
