    Well back again

Went 60 days AF and decided to moderate....did well for 2 weeks and the devil grabbed me while I was on the road for business in Houston near Hobby airport. This is definitely an area where you have to eat in the hotel (bar) if you don't have a car. They filled the wine glass to the brim and without noticing my couple glasses really equalled 5 or 6 and I was off to the races. Woke up with a deep self-loathing and a serious hangover (because I lost my tolerance and 20 lbs) which I swore I would never wake up that way again. Well, after that, I tried to moderate but everytime the alcohal would leave my system I would have anxiety and not be able to sleep. After several near sleepless nights in Chicago I had to completely abstain --- the short relief of the AL in my system did not outweigh the awful anxiety which had now extended to all day.

So here I am at day 3 again. The anxiety (which is the worst of it for me) is better than day 2 and 1, just like last time. I am hoping that the long dry spell and the excersize (ran an 8 mile race Sunday) will help make the withdrawal easier than last time. Anyone who has been in this situation noticed an easier time with a brief falling off the wagon or is it the same nasty ride till it "chills out some" at 10 days?
