Good day ODATers - where are you all today??? I thought we'd be at least on the second page by now....

So it's ODAT Friday and the start of another weekend which I know can be a real struggle for us so let's just do it ODAT and not look too far ahead.

Just heard that a girl we fostered a few years ago is pregnant, she's 17 and on her own totally, I always dreaded that this would be the path she'd take but hoped it wouldn't happen. Really difficult, she had a truly dreadful childhood and as a result was quite violent (which is why she had to leave us), just feel so sorry for her and the baby when it arrives. Not fair is it?

ODAT, Friday 8th May

Hey Mad! Thanks for starting this. I was going to, but felt icky about it. I drank last night, but am committed for TODAY not to drink. I didnt even really have that big of a craving, thats what the stupid part is. Im taking the supps, and I feel they are working. I guess its about breaking patterns.

Anyways, onwards and upwards. Sorry to hear about the girl. Hey, maybe things can turn out alright. I dont know her of course, but sometimes in life things can really surprise you and turn out ok. You can hope at least for her and the babys sake.

Hi Mad Mummy, goodness, so quiet here today. You're doing so well, that month will soon be up!

Over It 2007, I drank as well last night. but have plans in place so I won't be tempted either tonight or tomorrow. I agree with you about breaking patterns and changing routines. I wasn't even hugely craving al. I need to do that 'forward the tape' thinking that you were on about yesterday.....I always start by kidding myself I'll enjoy just one glass!

Where's Savy? And Lonely One has been AWOL for weeks now!

ODAT, Friday 8th May

Hi everyone

Just a quick check in. It's mad here at the moment as my girls are in their last few weeks of school so everything is winding down. We have sports days, plays etc.etc. lots and lots of driving and I am trying to get things up to date in the garden and house. All in all crazy.

All any of us can do is keep trying, the alternative is to go back to daily drinking and none of us want that so onwards and upwards.
