    Hi Moonchild,

Welcome. Takes some time to look around the site until your package arrives. Read and ask questions. There are many wise AF (alcohol free) members that will help you.

Everything I need is within me!

:welcome: Moon! This is a great place to start your journey. I know you are still waiting for the book, but have you started to formulate a plan of action? Like Bright said, keep reading and posting.

        Welcome!

        Hi, Moon!
This is a great place to be. Ordering the book is a wonderful way to start. That's what I did, then read it the first time (I'm on the 3rd time now) and then I ordered the cds... Each step has helped me, and I am sure it will help you too. Good luck, and pat yourself on the back for taking charge of your life. Welcome!

Welcome and keep reading online while you are waiting for the book. Best to kick the AL now or seriously cut back in preparation.

              Welcome MoonChild,

I agree with ezzmae, scale back on the AL big time now while you wait for your book.
Try distracting yourself - it does work. Everytime you get a drinking thought in your head, just stop what you are doing and go do something completely different. It takes about 15, but the thought goes away. Take 3 deep cleansing breaths, that works as well and drink tons of water & tea to start rehydrating yourself - it all makes you start to feel better

Keep reading the threads here - they are very informative.

              All the best,
