Congrats on your successful Friday night, Fab!
After 30+ (not sure of the number) days AF, I had a close call last night. We went to see Puccini's Tosca, simulcast on the big screen at AT&T Park. It was quite romantic -- almost full moon, picnic basket with pasta and garlic bread, sailboats passing by, and the Bay Bridge in the background. Normally, I would have HAD to have red wine to go with all that. The cravings were very strong. But took some L-glut that I now always carry in a wallet pocket, thought of all of you hanging tough, and reminded myself that the few glasses of red accompanying dinner could easily turn into a 'lost weekend.' The nicest part is that, because I had water & coffee instead of vino, I was able to stay awake for the entire third act, to see Tosca fling herself from the battlements! (After all her petty jealous rages, I admit that I rather enjoyed that part.)
It sounds like everyone is doing very well. I'm thinking of you, and glad you're 'here.'
Happy B-day Mom2, wherever you are (celebrating, I hope).
