ODATERS!!!
Hi bossman and all to come. Speaking of roads, someone posted this long ago and it deserves a repeat. Especially on the ODAT thread. (I shoulda noticed who to give credit to when I googled it)
Crap, it didn't work. I have to tend to pets. brb :H
I saw that little doggie actually didn't need breakfast as she ate the whole package of 7 grain sprouted flatbread that I had taken out of the freezer. Grrrrr.

Chapter I
I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I fall in.
I am lost...I am helpless.
It isn’t my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.
Chapter II
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend I don’t see it.
I fall in again.
I can’t believe I am in the same place, but, it isn’t my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.
Chapter III
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it is there.
I still fall in ... it’s a habit.
My eyes are open.
I know where I am.
It is my fault.
I get out immediately.
Chapter IV
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I walk around it.
Chapter V
I walk down another street.
When you explore your roads, watch out for potholes.sigpic

ODAT Saturday June 13
Hello to all and thank you for the story, Greenie. While not related to alcoholism, the despair of Chapter One reminded me of something I had not thought of in years. When I was a kid I had a classmate, a little boy who I think did not have a friend in the world. He was very overweight and always seemed to have a booger or a stain and a half melted chocolate bar nearby. I never heard him say a single word. We had a school magazine and this is what I remember him writing at the end of the year: ?When I was a child, I came upon a pit, the pit it was a trap. And as I gazed into the trap a man in black did push me in, I lie there still. But my mind from that pit does wander, through the meadows to the mountain tops and the caves of my content?---L. What a beautiful spirit was in that odd looking little poet. I have always hoped that he found his way out.may we be well
