    July Jamboree

I started naltrexone a week ago

I already in my slinky alcoholic way discovered that I can have "days off" naltrexone. Where I can not take it. Any ideas.

        Hi tracey and welcome
I am afraid I dont know anything about naltrexone, but there is a research thread, you might be able to find something out there
        Good luck

          July Jamboree

Jessie, Cinders, Lavande, Mstall, Opal, Choppers, Tulipe, Freebird, ronnie, tracey-c, gearheaad, fab abs, sooty and universal, So great to have such a large supportive group! It should make July fly by!

Hopefully we are all hangover free and ready to face another fabulous day with clear minds! I think of every morning that I wake up hangover free as a gift I have given myself. Here is a thought to meditate onthat I found on Daily Recovery Readings:

I never think of the future. It comes soon enough. --- Albert Einstein
None of us know anything for sure about the future. We don't know if we'll be sober tomorrow. But we can be sure of this moment. We get sober by moments. Our sober moments then stretch into hours, day, and years
          Dill

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

            July Jamboree

Hey Jammers, Feeling good today with lots of AF days behind me. (Well......alot for me). I never thought I could do it and now I know I can!!! Yeah.

Dill, I love this quote.....Hate to say it though....I don't think women can think like this.....We have too much responsibility. And I just realized I need to let some things go.

Vacation starts tomorrow and I know this will be a huge challenge to say the least. I am not going to be too hard on myself, but if there is one little hangover, then I will count that as a mistake. I am planning to stay AF, buy my goal is ODAT for awhile. I will let you all know how it goes as you all keep me walking a tight line. Thank you ALL for that and being here judgement free. It is so important to me -- knowing I have to be totally honest with you (and I will).

Good luck to everyone. This will be a great July.....

Wow - lots of peeps for July support!
I'm in, although ODAT might be a good way for me to go for now. I desperately need AF days, as I slipped up the latter half of June!

                            July Jamboree

Good morning, Jessie, Cinders, Lavande, Mstall, Opal, Choppers, Tulipe, Freebird, ronnie, tracey-c, gearheaad, fab abs, sooty and universal, and Pnut! Glad to hear so much positivity here. Yesterday I had a really difficult day. Not out and out cravings per se, but just a deep sadness. It settled in and lasted pretty much all day. I couldn't shake it. But, I remained AF anyway. Ah, well, nobody EVER said this is easy! But it's worth it, and I do feel much better today!

Ronnie asked if I might do a 'quote for the day' here and I must say, I don't think I could come up with one each day. Sorry! But, we're a team, so if anyone has a good motivational quote, song or video to share, please do! Today I got a youtube link from a friend that I will share here. It is not in anyway related to al or going AF, unless you maybe put it in the category of "distraction"! If you watch it, you WILL be amazed.

Pnut, it's good to see you dropping in! :l SD is on vacation this week at a cabin and will probably not have much access to internet. She is with us in spirit though!

but I know I AM NOT going to drink this weekend. Weekends can be a lot harder for a lot of people, so good luck to all over this first weekend of July.
Opal, I like that determination! May I borrow just a smidge?

                              Good morning Everyone,

Here's a little something for all of us borrowed from the 4th of July edition of Thirty Thousand Days a Journal for Purposeful Living

                              Beyond Fireworks: Celebrating Our Interdependence
                              by Gregg Krech (Audio Podcast)

"Independence often stimulates a sense of pride — a sense that I am competent, capable and can get along without others. Interdependence, on the other hand, stimulates a sense of humility, a reminder to be grateful, an acknowledgment that we cannot exist except through the efforts of others"

We are truly interdependent on one another..............I think we see this all the time here at MWO.
I am grateful for the efforts of all of you.
Dill, I hope you are feeling more positive today - we can all do this together

                              Have a great day!

Dill I hope you're feeling brighter today - funny how moods just descend on us isn't it? I wonder what the position of the moon was yesterday?
I'm ok - looking forward to an AF weekend. They are always a challenge I find ...even tho I no longer go to work there's something about a Friday ...
