    July Jamboree

Good morning Jammers, it's good to hear so much positivity!

Congrats on day 8 cyntree! That is awesome! I'd be glad to send you some cooler temps, but we don't seem to be getting rain either, so I can't help you there. Sorry.

ronnie, maybe you could send some of your rain up to cyntree? I must say, you seem to have a lot of overnights for your boys. You must be a really good Mom!

Opal, have fun with your daughter in Dublin. It'll be 'quality time' for sure, especially AF!

My New, I share your joy at waking up hangover free! And to think, this is how it could and should be everyday! What the heck were we doing to ourselves?

Lav, It is wonderful that you get to spend "normal" time with your grandson. I'm so glad you have made your goal! :l If there is one thing this stinkin' drinnkin' problem has given us, it's an appreciation of 'normal' and how dear it really is. Soon my son is moving back to Ohio and I'll get to spend time with my grandson. Now there is some motivation!!! Like you, I do not want my g-son to see his g-ma sloshed!

Hi Peanut, Pamina and everyone else who stops by.

The movie I watched last night was called "What doesn't kill you" and it had Ethan Hawk in it. It was a dark movie but with a happy ending. One of the main characters was grappling with addiction. I can recommend the movie, but must warn that there is some violence, so not for children!

      Morning Jammers,

Thanks for the movie review Dill. We used to get Netflix here too but I guess we got bored with it. I'm so happy to hear about your son moving back to Ohio. That's wonderful that you will have more time with your grandson! Those little guys are the perfect motivators, such blessings The 'normal' time spent with them is so healing

Cyntree, you are doing so well, keep going, it gets better & better.
My New, enjoy those hangover free mornings, you really get used to them
Ronnie, bless you for another over night with the boys - fun but tiring, I remember..........
Opal, have a great trip to Dublin, I loved it. There is so much more there than just pubs - loved the museums.

Getting ready for church now. Will check in later.
Hi to anyone that stops in today, have a great day!

            Hello all you Jammers
How is everyone doing this fine Monday? I'm on my way to a pot luck lunch at a friends summer place on a lake and it should be a glorious day for it.
It's so great to read all your posts and that everyone is doing so great! It's so encouraging to me and I just want to say Thank You to all of you here. Gotta go pack the potato salad for the pot luck and head out. I'll be back to check in later.

Hi Jammers! Another wonderful hangover-free day! Whoo-hoo! Today I am going to the dentist to get my teeth whitened. I have never done this before. I have a friend I work with that did it and it was an amazing difference. I'll let you know how it goes.

              Have a great day, everyone!

                    Hi Jammers

Sounds like everyone had a good weekend. Mine was very full, culminating in a memorial service yesterday for a friend who died in May. It was lovely to see mutual friends and make some progress coming to terms with it. We went to a pub afterwards, many said they 'needed' a G&T. I had AF beer. I also got a lot of positive comments on my weight loss (23 lbs now since AF) as I finally braved wearing a tighter outfit. I've got to dash out for groceries, fridge is completely empty. Have a good Monday and catch you later.

Welcome, darkie! OMG I can SO relate to your troubles of having the fight going on inside your head and nobody on the outside knows! You are so glad they don't know but you feel so alone in your misery! And all this in the midst of what should be (and is) a wonderful time. I feel for you!

                            Good Morning, Jammers!

A quiet day for me, too, ronnie! I miss the days when my kids were small and the house was so very busy and lively. But, am enjoying these quiet days now that the kids are on there own. There are just a few days left before I must return to work, so I am trying to enjoy them to the fullest! I'm still doing well on the AF, and hope you all are too. There are still those weak moments in the afternoon, but am plowing through them.

Good Morning Ronnie and Dill and everyone else that will be joining....
Not much sleep last night though. I really don't know what happened but it seemed that I could not 'shut off' my brain...anyone ever feel that? Anyway, I took a melatonin and slept like a baby for 4 hours as I had to get up early today to go to my volunteer job. Ahhhh...
I feel a nap coming on this afternoon around 3:00 p.m.!
Beautiful day here in the Northeast finally..sunny and oh, so warm.
I'm going into day 6..hope you all have a glorious day!

Cloudy & overcast here, just waiting for the rain to move in! My garden will be happy.

Welcome darkie! Wow, 11 days, congrats, that's great

Pamina, glad you got thru your weekend OK, hard as it was. Congrats too on your 23 lb. weight loss. I really wish I would lose some right now~~~~

Ronnie, lots of luck with your boy's birthdays this week, busy busy

Dill, your quote is right on.........it's all about attitude and God knows, I have a lot of attitude, ha ha.

MNB, hang in there. It takes quite a while for your sleep pattern to adjust to the new, healthy you. I'm taking an herbal preparation with melatonin, lemon balm, valerian, chamomile and passion flower called Mellodyn. It helps quite a bit. Have a great day 6!

Have a wonderful AF day one & all!
