New Thread for those in the very early AF stage?
Any interest in getting a new daily thread started for those just trying to get settled in the first few days? I'd like to get a "team" together for mutual support and encouragement...especially in those early hours! Thoughts?AF since July 8, 2009...Tags: None

yea...like day 1 not too bad, day 2 hell, day 3 worse, day 4 nightsweats...and so on. Yup, I remember those days and unfortunately going to have to do it all over again.Give a man a beer, he'll waste an hour. Teach a man to brew, he'll waste a lifetime.

no...I fell off and right back to where I started-about 10 -15 beers a day. Just to depressed to care or even try being AF at the moment. If I can't be honest here, where can you be! I do remember after two weeks it got easier...I always said that about the first time tryin on a thong (panties)...takes two weeks to get used to! Sorry...too much info?! I don't think you should try the thong thing National Keep up your good work and keep us updated!!Give a man a beer, he'll waste an hour. Teach a man to brew, he'll waste a lifetime.

New Thread for those in the very early AF stage?
Hey there, I had a month rum/vodka-free (but I did allow a small amount of beer) ... but I went back into the bottle on Wednesday and paid dearly for it yesterday. I have decided I have to adopt an AF lifestyle. I just have to.
After Wednesday's mess-up, it would have been so easy to get started on morning drinking again yesterday. When I woke up with my hangover, the first thing that entered my mind was, "a stiff rum and coke would take the edge off this hangover" .... (I was a morning-to-night hard liquor drinker before tapering off a month back.)
Anyway ... I'm on my first few days of doing a complete AF lifestyle change. I would definitely check into an "Early Stage of AF" thread.AF for two years. Slight relapse. Working on it at the moment.

Hey Colbe ... you said "If I can't be honest here, where can you be" .... I can totally relate to that. This is the only place I've ever been honest about my excessive drinking .. secrets and all. I would like to be able to share it with family, etc., but no way. So it feels really good to "tell" here.
LOL @ the thong! Yep, it takes awhile to get used to anything new!AF for two years. Slight relapse. Working on it at the moment.

I would love to join this thread. I am on day 2 AF. I feel great and positive but I have no idea what to expect. I have been a heavy drinker for I think all of my life which is a long time because I'm 57. Last night was the first night I didn't have a drink in a long long time. I bought Kudzu and L-Glutamine and I don't know if that is what helped me or not, I'm just not going to question it. Anyway, no reason to ramble right now, I'm just glad to be here.
