    Help

I found the tool box. I have seen it before and wrote down the reasons I need to stop. I have reviewed the coping mechanisms but I continually lack commitment!
    It is craziness!
I may go back on Prozac. Not just to get off alcohol though. I made it 4 months af last year and poof! No more resolve!!

      Help

I take prozac, it really helps my depression.
You did great last year and you can do it again.
Arm yourself with every tool you can. Keep that resolve strong. Write down how you feel now, how low and despairing you are feeling and how you dont want to do this again. Read it when you feel weak.
All this will help keep you strong.

        Help

Thanks, I know the Prozac has helped in the past. And i live a constant battle with depression. I do need to do everything. Just made some notes. The tea was good but I can't go out, yet. Going to eat what I can find in the house and nap. Tell me I can stop this?

          Help

Of course you can. You will feel poorly for a while, but just treat it like the flu, it will pass and you will feel great again very soon.
Sleeping is a good idea. Make sure you take a big glass of water to bed, and sip as often as you can.

                    Help

                    Hey 1967,
I'm on day 5 and last night almost caved in. I came to the sight and posted an SOS. I kept reading all the support everyone sent me - I got through the night without a drink. Eat. Don't be on an empty stomach, that always makes me weaker to the temptation. You CAN do this, it's not easy, but you don't NEED alcohol - we are just convinced that we do. Prove it to yourself; don't drink tonight and see how alive you feel tomorrow morning Come on! You can do this!

                      Help

This a very VERY odd thread, since 1967 (who I know personally and can say she is doing very well)... first posted back in August of 2009 and Bungle (for some reason) picked up the thread, making it seem like she posted recently.

Hey, I've only been here for about a week or so, and not totally AF yet. I've been tapering down because I have major anxiety, but doing much better. Had a crappie few days last week so I know what you mean. I've just been taking advice from everyone
and and thinking about how I want my life back. Just getting things into perspective. It really helps, and I've gotten great advice. What has been helping me slow down is keeping my mind occupied and spending time on MWO is keeping me focused. You can do it - did it before, right? So even though it's tough right now, you know you can do it. What helped you before? I need all the help and advice I can get too 🐼
