Cinders-Good job on resisting temptation while traveling. I have found that being organized and keeping a routine really helps me stay af. Glad your back.

Lav-Shazzam!! I'm sending you some of the rain and cool weather I've been having. :H I've been thinking some about the winter that's coming. This will be my first winter not working so I'm trying to figure out things to do to keep me busy. I have found that the changing seasons tend to cause me some problems. So I'm working on a plan to help me stay af this winter.

LBH-Learning to live in the "moment" is difficult. Regretting the past or worring about the future is something I think we all tend to do. Working on a positive attitude (think positive) seems to help stay focused in the here and now.

Dill-What's the name of your flower? I know what it is but can't think of the name! Grrrr!

lilmea - don't you dare send any rain this way - we had somewhere between 3-6" this weekend!!!!!!!!
The problem is these storms haven't done a thing to drop the high temps, ugh! Someone please send me dryer, cooler weather

Hello All stars, I've just posted on newbies nest that I've had no internet for last 2 days, dunno why, just a blip I guess but it was very panic inducing cos I missed you all.
Anyway here now - I love September to Remember- that's a cracker that is!
Just a flying visit cos off to evening class - wanted to say hi that's all.

Hi All,
Hard to believe it's nearly the end of the month.
Got lot's planned for the weekend.
It's a bank holiday over here. We're off to a fancy dress Friday (Mr JC driving) so neither of us drinking.
Going to an Indian festival type thingy on Sunday (we're not Indian but the foods fantastic)
Then to end on a real high the Races on Monday. Great way to end the month.

MORINIG EVERYONE.i was away for a few days (with six sisters and two brothers and their familys)my hb did not come as he said he needed to get work done?and it woould be good to have time apart after our few words last week.i didnt mind that he did not come because when we get together we kind of revert back to when we were kids,a lot of late nights ,cooking laughing and deinking,but i did not indulge as my family know i dont drink??it posed no problem for me to be al free.i dont feel like drink when im with people and i can stay in a bar for hours my problem is when im bored or lonely,but ahter getting my acceptance to art collage ihere is little chance of that(with gods help) dill great to have you back sorry to here about your little slip,but dont worry to much .today is another day,ant think of the binifits of been ah free for five mths .we can do it,......... will chat soon ,just comming of night duty,and need a shower x

Sooty, don't be hard on yourself. You've done really well over all! All we can do is keep trying. We have built lots of bad habits up over the years and they are hard to break, that's for sure! But we will!

darkie, that sounds like a really good time, being with your family~ You know I don't find it as difficult not to drink when out among people either. My problem is when I am home.

LBH, hope you are rested and feeling energized.

Jackie, I love Indian food! Mmmm.

Waking up to sunshine & slightly cooler weather today, it's about time!!

darkie & Sooty, you've both done very well this month. Let's hang in & see if we can make it a perfect September for us all.

Heading outside to see if I can make some sense of my garden, it looks like a jungle, overgrown from so much rain.

Darkie-Glad you're back. Sounds like fun times with the family. Boredom is a big trigger for me as well. But it sounds like your art classes will keep you plenty busy and out of trouble!

Sooty-Hang in there! Have you tried any of the supps? Alot of people on here are having great success with the Lglutton for cravings. So jump back up on the sober buss, your set is waiting.

LBH-I hope you got a good nights rest. Today is a new day and I hope it goes better for you. It feels good to see those checks on the drink tracker add up doesn't it?

JC-What kind of races did you go to on Monday? It sounds like you had a good week end planned.

Dill-I'm sorry to hear your bother is doing as well as expected! You know you and he are both in my thoughts and prayers. :l

Lav-Okay I won't send you any rain, but I will send you some of this cool weather we are having. It seems more like Sept or Oct. here than Aug.

Sunnie-How's it going with your house?

I've started on the last minute things I need to do before I go on vacation at the end of the month. I've made a list of "to do things" and am busy checking them off. Today is a haircut.
