I can?t believe this month will be coming to a close in a few days. I went out to eat this evening and there was alcohol all around me but I did OK and had a nice visit. Another zero in the tracker.

Your trip sounds wonderful, Lil, and yes the distances between those map dots are wide open. Get ready for Really Big Sky.

I love horses, Sunni, everything about them; it has been hard with your house, time to have a great weekend in a comfort zone.

I envision you digging yourself, Lav, out of a big lush and humid emerald green heap. Prodigal summer indeed.

All my best to you three and to Darkie, Pam, Dill, and Sooty, you are all the Stars who have helped me during the times I have had it hard and lonely. Love, Ladybird.

Good Morning All Stars,

Yes, LBH, it's hard to believe Aug. is almost over. Is everyone ready to ride the sober bus through Sept? Dill suggested Sept. to Remember AF. How about it everyone? Ready to jump on board for Sept?

On a more somber note. I've gotten word from Dill. Her brother was readmitted to the hospital. She's leaving this morning to go back to S. Carolina and will be staying until Tues. She has limited internet access so may not be able to get on here much. She wanted everyone to know she is thinking of us.

Dill-I'm keeping you and your brother in my thoughts and prayers. Have a safe trip.

Taking a short break here. We decided to leave tomorrow afternoon in stead of Mon. so that makes for a really busy day for me today!

Sooty-Where are you located? You seem to be about half a day ahead of me in time. If so, can you tell me how the rest of my day is going to go?

Lav-Have you found any interesting things in your backyard jungle? Maybe George Clooney paracticing for the role of Tarzan? :H

LBH-I hope your week end is going well. Getting some rest before you have to go back to work on Mon?

I'm new to this. I am 55/F. I have not had a lot of AF days in the past 10 years. I'm sick of it!
I have been in detox twice (not fun)!
I have been prescribed naltraxone and campral. Worthless.
I have an appointment on Monday with a phyciatrist in hopes he will prescribe baclofen for me.
Thanks to this foram; I have recieved a lot of great info.

I publicly humiliated my husband of 38years last night at a casino HEART concert. I never want that to happen again!

I vote for 'Septemer to Remimber'.

Welcome Teba :welcome: You might want to check out the "toolbox" thread. It's at the top of the monthly abstinence section. It has a lot of helpful info on how to deal with cravings and making an af plan. You might also want to start your own thread in the Just Starting Out Section introducing yourself. This will let you have a chance to get to know a lot of other people here at MWO. Meanwhile, glad to see you here on the All Star thread. We'll also be glad to see you on the Sept. thread as well. Hang close to the boards, read and post. You can do this!!

Okay gang, I'm wiped out, tired! The house is clean, the laundry's done and everything is packed and ready to go. You were right Sooty-my day turned out just fine!

Lil, I wish you a fantastic, safe trip, you deserve it! Try to remember those of us you leave behind
The only live creatures I've uncovered in my jungle garden so far are a bunch of little, brown toads. The apparently have taken up residence beneath my basil plants, ha ha.

I'm very sorry to hear about your incident last night. Let it be the last time it ever happens!!
Make the commitment to yourself to quit, once & for all. Work on your plan, talk about it with the Doc on Monday. Let him know what you plan to do, let him know about this support group.
We are the same age, you & I. I have been married 36 years. I understand at least some of what you are feeling right now. Please stay close, check in with as often as you need to - someone is always here to listen. You can PM me if you like.

Think I'm going to turn in soon, starting to feel my age a bit.
