why do you drink?
If you really want an honest answer, I drink because I can't find a natural way out of the horrendous, unsolvable obstacles of my life. If I could see any future with a positive outcome, I could and would quit overnight. In the meantime, alcohol is the only thing that numbs the pain of the hurt that so many people in my life, even God himself has bought me.
I can imagine myself being without a drink for 6 months, but I can't visualise the outcome being a positive one. I think I'd be in exactly the same mire, with the same pain, probably esculated by the fact there is one thing less to soften it.
