OMG, Lynnie! Here's the short version of my travels. I am from California. Met husbo #2 and moved to Canada -that's where he is from. Marriage went bad and came back to US. We lived in Barrhaven, near the sports center. Yes, I know where Perth is. Been there...LOL!! Small world, aye?

Congrats on getting to your second day, keep it up! That boyfriend analogy was exactly what I felt the very first day I came here, but it is the truth. Dirty little tricksters, both of 'em. But awareness is power.

Honestly, I try to only live one day at a time now, or feel I will be doomed to failure. In the past I have gone AF for months at a time (actually twice in my life only!). Possibly I am better equipped to handle it now, but I am wary of tempting fate. If I couldn't handle it before, why would it be different now? I actually drank for 2/3 of my life (36 years). Physically, it felt like it was starting to take it's toll. So ABS for me is probably a better way. And stay on L-Glute and kudzu, which do help the cravings. This weekend I did have a couple of "If I was still drinking, I'd start right now" moments (whole days really), but the difference is I'm very aware and don't give in, not even for one (which never is just one, in my case).
My father was also an alcoholic, so there's genetics, and I have ADHD, and impulse control can be a problem. With that as well, I have to be very aware of not putting myself in situations where it will cause problems (it makes me ramble on and on, too :H). Awareness, awareness, awareness, my motto always.

Hi everyone,
just got back from London, I actually live in the depths of Dorset,my son had a casting for a tv commercial, I did buy the 2 little bottles and I know that I probably will drink at least one, but I won't buy any more tomorrow, I don't want to stop totally I would really like to be ablle to drink normally, if I find it really hard after this I will give up for the whole of October, wish me luck,

Good morning everyone,Lynnie and Looking to Grow, my son is 9 and we just have to wait now to see if he got the commercial, we have been waiting for 5 month's to hear about a new HBO production, he was recalled, we get used to waiting, I did drink last night the 2 small bottles came to 3 unit's and actually didn't really enjoy the sensation, have no intention to drink again tonight, I am going to try the whole of October, stay strong everyone, have a good day, I am off for a ride in a bit then lot's of chutney to make.
