Morning everyone - collected a beautiful pearl last night!

Back in the water for another today. It's actually a lovely metaphor as I loved snorkeling the few times I've been!

SuziQ and Universal congratulations. I can't look that far ahead, but I think days 4/5 are going to be tough. Hopefully I'll have the book, tapes and supps by then.

Chicken - you are must be looking stunning in you're new jewels!

Hi - on day 9 here. Still feeling like crap so it's actually been quite easy.

I find that once I get past one week it's okay to get to the 2 week mark - it's the 2-3 week mark that I always find hard.

But I think I'd like an anklet too so diving I go!

Uni- sorry to hear you are still not well! But big HIP HIP HOORAY for Day 9! How are you going to approach the Week 3 factor? Especially if you are feeling better by then, you may need to have a back up plan? Perhaps...a pearl tiara as incentive maybe??????

Finding-when are the supps and Cd's due in for you? Keep posting and reading.You are doing really great.

Tightly clenching one pearl in each hand, going for a third today and feel good about it.

I'm a bit worried about Thursday, (one of my usual "fun" days), but will worry more about it after I get through the next couple of days.

I'm not sure when to expect the book/CDs, my account says that the order has been processed or has shipped.

Sorry my Pearlers,

Did a bit of celebrating on Sunday and it threw me for a loop. (Husband re-employed after 18 months. We are relieved, jubiliant, and maybe a bit too excitable.) Didn't keep up with the L-Glut, work went nuts, hit the witching hour Monday with no plan in place and behind the ball at home with laundry and meals. Have been hung over and tired ever since:egad:. Not the way to start a week.

But I'm still here... still posting. Headed to bed with oysters on my mind.

Keep posting all and let me know how the jewlery is doing. (Reminds me of my daughter's Pretty Pretty Princess game where you have to collect a ring, earrings, bracelet, necklace AND tiara. Beware the black ring! Seems I've been pulling it the last two days.)

Afternoon Pearlers!

Busy day at work today! Hubby has been a bit of a bear over the last f/nite, so he must have been feeling bad,cause he took me for lunch and I must admit I had a bourbon & diet coke! Was nice to go on a 'date', as we are coming up to our 7th anniversary on th 12th of this month!

mpp- life thorws these situations at us, not too long ago I did the same thing!Just over a week ago infact! Remembered why I no longer do it however the next day! Am going to keep reminding myself of this!

Day 13 here - have had a couple of days with cravings but not many and I have managed to get through them easily enough.

My goal was to get to 2 weeks and I am almost there. Then we will add on days ODAT - baby steps.

Gotta go get some more pearls!

Hello Chicken 3 and resultant posters:

I have to say up front that I'm grateful first, for Chicken 3's challenge/topic, and second, the way it seems that everyone in MWO pulls together for even one "pearl" at a time.

I have been in groups and situations when I felt that I could never return for slipping into my old behaviors. My experience has been that members in AA who have returned to their alcoholic habits are automatically placed in an embarrassing and humble standing - a member loses their progress up the 12-step ladder and must return to the bottom rung, humbled by failure. In meetings, chips of all colors are passed around ceremonially to award different levels of sobriety, which is always measured in time spent alcohol-free.

I also know that amazing successes happen all the time in many different ways. My Way Out seems to be an innovative organization. Let's bless and help each other.

I can't say I haven't had a drink today. I don't want to have a drink tomorrow.
