But better than it would have been 6 months ago....tonight I am saying goodbye to my puppy of 12 and a half years. I have seen him from almost just born....we knew we wanted him specifically from the moment we saw him. His health is failing, he can barely get up and down. He doesn't seem to have the will anymore. He doesn't get up when we come home, doesn't get excited about anything......

My heart is breaking.....I am drinking, I'm on my 4th and will have no more. In the past, I would have drank much more........

Our little friends give us such unconditional love. I'm so sorry for your pain Christy, but I know that you would never trade the beauty your pup brought to your life for 12 1/2 years for anything, and it is so special you are here for him now when he needs you.

Oh Christy - sorry about your pup. I know it is hard. I had to have my 20yo cat put down last week. My house seems kinda empty without him!!!
