hi ive called myself pompeyman as i originate from portsmouth in england. been drinking alcoholicly since i was sixteen ... 36 years. tried aa, psychiatrists, alcohol centres ... lost my home, kids and partner ..... just about got a job. just found this site. stopping tomorrow ... been slowing down over the last few days and hopefully w/drawrals wont be too bad look forward to hearing from you all ... take care :new:

Like you I've tried many avenues to find an alcohol free life. I don't know what it is about this place but something has finally 'clicked'.

Keep reading, then read some more. SHOUT if you're struggling. There's massive support.
