I found this site by browsing through the web looking for help. While I don't want to totally quit drinking, I do want to be able to control when and how much I drink. I know that it doesn't have to be the habit I have now of reaching for the wine glass the minute I get home from work. Then I drink until dinner but I don't drink after dinner. It's mostly a two hour stretch there that I worry about. I can put away alot in 2 hours! It may not sound like a lot to some but the fact that I do it every single day is a worry to me. On weekends I start earlier. My husband doesn't drink much at all. Maybe one drink a week.
Anyjway, this is my first post. I've ordered the book "My Way Out" and am looking forward to reading it. I've never liked the AA way although I do know it's a good program for alot of people.
So, here's to the new day and hopefully a new beginning. I look forward to reading the other posts. One thing I do know is that support is a great help. Knowing that we aren't along can make a big difference in our lives.
